(we are both over 25 y/o) Yesterday when she was coming out of the store she was robbed at gun point. The guy who robbed her hit her over the head with a gun and she passed out. He also took all of the cash she had put aside to cover expenses($300) She is fine and at home resting after a few hours stay in the hospital. She is a law student at a Ivy League school and a very nice young lady. Should I give her the money she needs to help her out even though I have only been knowing her for 2 weeks.

Her parents are unreliable and somewhat tried to say it was her fault for the random robbery.

I think that if you do really care for her you should give her the money and help her out i mean I dont think she will be able to work for quite some time . good luck and do what your heart tells you to do .

That is a tough question. If I had the means to help financially, and I cared about the person ... I probably would. If you don't want to get her thinking that you'll always be a financial provider or something, (not that she would?) you could tell her that you will loan her the money to help make due and she can pay you back like 25 a week/month or something. She may thank you for your offer, but refuse, as I would if a guy I had only been dating for a short while offered me the money ... or she may really need the money and accept and offer to pay you back. It really depends on your ability and willingness to help. Search your heart, you'll find the right thing to do. Good Luck and I hope she heals well.

You've only been with her 2 weeks...there's no financial committment what-so-ever. If you really want to "help" her just be there emotionally for her. If you give her money she might think that there is more to this relationship than you want there to be. Just be careful and make sure she is alright

try and help her refurnish her finances, but DO NOT giv her the money. if she hasnt asked for it herself, yet, thats a good sign, to show shes reliable, and you should support her in every other way.
but no, dont give her money.

No don't give any money. You start spending money from jump she'll expect you to pay forever. Support her emotionally and that's it.
