Mine is WW2. Technical inovation, indomitable fighting spirit, bravery and courage beyond imagination, righteousness in fighting pure evil, brilliant commanders.....the list goes on and on. In 4 years America went from isolationism to the premier world power.
It is awe inspiring and just simply amazing.

I dont know if I have a "favorite" but there are some periods I think are much more interesting than others.
Personally I find the Wilson years fascinating. Wilson had a huge amount of influence on what happened to the country later on.
Also the period right after the Revolutionary War is very interesting. So many things going on that were so crucial to the formation of the nation.
