Is it possible that God is actually evil and Satan is good? Since in this theory, God is evil, couldn't he just make it seem as though as he is the good being and Satan, the actual good deity, evil? By doing this God will get you to worship him instead of Satan? How does a Christian know that he or she is worshipping the rightful "God"? If this were true then Satan's war against God would be a war to reclaim his rightful place. God also made Satan seem evil so that people would be against him. This would cause less people to join forces with Satan reclaim his rightful place.

It's very possible. The names were changed to protect the guilty.

Ooh, that's some nice reverse psychology you have going there. Makes my brain go all twisty.

Heck, it seems like it sometimes when I read the Bible. I hear that when it's tallied up, God is responsible for the deaths of possibly millions, and Satan has a grand total under ten or so. And if evil is so deceptive, then wouldn't the ultimate deception be convincing people that you're the good one?

I mean, I don't believe in either of them, but that's a cool concept.

I see your point but I think the answer is easy to find.

Whichever is the true God is obviously the omnipotent powerful God who has the ultimate authority over the world/reality, that means no matter what the weaker one (Satan) plans can't be carried out against the will of the true God.

Your question basically presupposes that they are both of some sort of equal power and that they have a struggle as opposed to one of them having absolute authority over the world.

I am not sure you could actually tell the difference.

90% of the things God does in the Bible would be unacceptable in 99% of the courts in the World today if a person did them (I exclude Sharia courts, of course).

Entirely possible. God and Satan are mans puppets or sucky toys. They speak through whatever mouth that suits their purpose. Man is a crafty devil ain't he?
