Other than looking sexy, what purpose is it that most belly buttons are concave? Since the belly button is a scar, why wouldn't it just heal flush to the rest of the skin on the stomach? Was there some 'use' for an innie navel thousands of years ago?

think it depends on how fat the person is to how much of an innie you have. maybe also depends on how the doctor ties it of when you are born?
