. . .do you also scrub away the nutrients??? I know you're suppose to scrub to take out the pesticides, but do you also take out the nutrients as a consequence??

When first home from grocery store, you should soak them in peroxide water or a soaker from veggie isle in store just for that. then brush them quite well. Just dont peel them there will be pleanty of nutrients. And no insectisides, dirt , orany microscopic filarias or round worms.

no most of the good stuff in veggies and fruits lies inside. not on the surface.
if you are concerned just rinse it off and use a soft bristle brush that will not damage what you are cleaning.
