I'm talking about using a programming language... not via Microsoft Word...

Most recent versions on Word allow you simply to "Save as..." HTML douments.

If you don't have a recent version of Microsoft Word, there are other converters around. If you have anything that can print Word Documents, one way would be to grab CutePDFWriter and Printing the doument as PDF. After you do that, most of the recent versions of Acrobat allow you to save the PDF as a web page.

There are certainly other tools available. My quick search turned up a bunch of such tools but none of them was free.

If it is Word or Excel, choose "Save As" and select HTML as the file format.

From the File menu click "save as" now change the extention under the name you will choose for the file.

when its time to save what you have created on word just click on save and then a window will pop out from your screen and on the bottom part of that window you will see options like file name and save as type. on the save as type option just choose what is the appropriate file type you want your word doc to be.if you want to save it as html select html or xml

example. if you are writing a html in microsoft word. try changing the ending exstension. example: web.txt -> web.html .
