Last month I attended my annual training session that's required
for maintaining my state prison security clearance. During the
training session there was a presentation by three speakers
representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths, who
explained each of their beliefs.
I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to say.
The Imam gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam, complete
with a video.
After the presentations, time was provided for questions and
answers.
When it was my turn, I directed my question to the Imam and asked:
Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that most Imams
and clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against
the infidels of the world and, that by killing an infidel, (which
is a command to all Muslims) they are assured of a place in heaven.
If that's the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?"
There was no disagreement with my statements and, without
hesitation, he replied, "Non-believers! "

I responded, "So, let me make sure I have this straight. All
followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not
of your faith so they can have a place in heaven. Is that correct?"
The expression on his face changed from one of authority and
command to that of "a little boy who had just been caught with his
hand in the cookie jar."
He sheepishly replied, "Yes."
I then stated, "Well, sir , I have a real problem trying to imagine
Pope John Paul commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith
or Dr. Stanley ordering all Protestants to do the same in order to
guarantee them a place in heaven!"
The Imam was speechless!

I continued, "I also have problem with being your 'friend' when you
and your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me! Let
me ask you a question. Would you rather have your Allah, who tells
you to kill me in order for you to go to heaven, or my Jesus who
tells me to love you because I am going to heaven and He wants you
to be there with me?"
You could have heard a pin drop as the Imam hung his head in shame.
Needless to say, the organizers and/or promoters of the
'Diversification' training seminar were Not happy with Rick's way
of dealing with the Islamic Imam and exposing the truth about the
Muslims' beliefs.

In twenty years there will be enough Muslim voters in the U.S. To
elect the President! I think everyone in the U.S. should be
required to read this, but with the Liberal justice system, liberal
media and the ACLU, there is no way this will be widely publicized.

This is a true story and the author, Rick Mathes, is a well-known
leader in prison ministry.

Tonight was the first time I read it. It was very interesting I thought.

Jesus(pbuh) was and is not God. He is not or was not the Son of God. Jesus(pbuh) is a prophet and creature that Allah(swt) created just like all humans. Islam is a religion of peace. Islam teaches us not to hate those who disagree with us or not believe the things we believe. This cleric was probably from the Nation of Islam seeing as this cult prays on under privileged and ethnic minorities. They do not represent Islam. In fact they believe their founder was a Prophet. All Muslims know the Prophet Mohammed(pbuh) was the last prophet and seal of the Prophets. It is a shame that this question was not asked to someone who is a scholar of Islam. I am sure the answer and manor in which it was answered would have been very different.
I am a Muslim and I do not think anyone should kill another except in self defense.

Jihad does not mean holy war.. Jihad is a struggle and to spread Islam and to be a good Muslim. people like to say it means holy war and then you have others who think Muslims only want war. This term is used narrowly amoung nonmuslims.

It is really depressing that the clerics(imams) and priests of the present world are failing to represent their religion properly.

It is ordered that we do not try and maintain very close relationship with the non-believers, but nowhere is it told that we have to kill all of them. Allah knew there would be people of different religions, so why would he want to kill his own creations?

No one seem to get it, but this IS THE TEST of Allah. He wants to see who believes in him and follows Islam and who follows other faiths. The punishment of the non-believers is in the life hereafter, but in this world their future is dependant on
their character as a human.

We have to take away the life of non-believers in two cases:

1. Jihad (the holy war for DEFENSE of one's country and countrymen, not terrorism and invasion.)

2. People who left the religion of Islam after being a Muslim, but that's another story. If you want then I can explain further.

See this story is a prime example of two things: (1) The distorted beliefs of a religion and (2) influence of religious leaders on the flock. I am a Christian, but I have read the Quran. I have also researched the Muslim faith. I did it just for the sake of wisdom. The Quran does not preach hatred. It like the Bible preaches love and faith. Now both religions believe that one should defend themselves against persecution. Jesus was persecuted for the sins of his followers. But leaders of both religions want to teach the other is trying to destroy their way of life. More wars have been fought over religion than anything else. But these radical movements are blasphemous against the respective religions and violate the message of love of the Quran and the Bible.

No one can win any argument from a false 'premise'
"Allah" is the Arabic word for God. God, even Almighty God is a 'title'.
Jesus Christ is Almighty God's "SON", NOT Almighty God himself.
Allah and Jesus cannot be compared.
Also Islam does not recognise Jesus as such, but only as a respected prophet.
How would any Father consider some organisation or even singular person who refuses to give his OWN son credit, and say he is just 'one of the crowd.'?

There can only be ONE universal God, responsible for creation. Both Islam and Christianity claim this. Both claim their God had dealiongs with Abraham. At that time, it has to be the SAME God.
It is man who has caused the divergence.
One religions teaching makes the others teaching a lie.
Only ONE can be correct.
I would rather worship a LOVING God, than one that tells its adherents to kill the opposition.

i wish that you ignorant people would read the holy qu'ran for yourselves before you utter such nonsense. Allah forbids us to kill innocent people or to force islam on others. Allah does give muslims permission to defend ourselves from people trying to persecute us. however, as soon as they stop fighting us we are to make peace with them.
