Be happy and excited. It happens. Yet, it is not the greatest thing for your body. Your body needs time to recover from pregnancy, but you'll be fine. It's not the end of the world.

You healed so quick, huh. Personally, I think the most that's going to be affected is your 6-week old baby. The first year usually is the bonding period for both the mother and child. Unfortunately, your situation may cause you to give limited attention to your baby since you would be suffering for some morning sickness for about a month or so. This is not counting when your tummy gets bigger.

Financially, unless you own a very big business, I guess this will be somewhat a blow to you since in less than a year's time, you will be rearing two babies. I'm not discouraging you but that is the fact of life. I just wish you and your partner all the best. May you raise your kids well and build a very beautiful family.

I think that someone did not wait until their six week checkup as they were most likely instructed ;)

Seriously, congratulations! I am certain there will be a lot of good and bad, but there is no matter what the age difference. Your children will probably be extremely close growing up. You will probably be extremely tired during this pregnancy, because not only are you pregnant but caring for an infant!

Just make the best of it, because it is what you make it! Again, congratulations!

To my understanding, you aren't supposed to be sexually active until your 6 week check up. I know someone that had the exact same thing happen. Your kids will be only 10 months apart, and may even be born in the same year!

It will be HARD on your body, but hard trying to raise two kids so close in age. Two sets of different size diapers, two types of bottles, and you will have to watch the first one VERY closely to make sure that (s)he doesn't unintentionally hurt the 2nd child. (S)He will be too young to understand what not to do, and will probably just be beginning to walk.

I am pregnant, and my daughter is almost 9 yrs old. She wanted a younger brother or sister about age 6, but it is HARD having to raise kids.

My hat goes off to you, it will be rough. But you have to make sure your partner gives you a lot of support and help. Had he have waited like he was supposed to, you wouldn't be in that situation.

I had the comparable situation with my toddler. it truly is what worked for me...for the period of feedings she became truly sleepy and would pass to sleep in the past she became finished, I used a chilly washcloth and dabbed her face with it, that looked as though it would paintings truly properly. I additionally would stroke her cheek and this would stimulate the sucking reflex even whilst her eyes have been close to maintain her nursing. the different concern that looked as though it would help wake her up became to alter her diaper past to feeding her, being undressed and having the cool air on her woke her up extra. To get her to sleep extra effective at evening I placed her on a three hour feeding schedule (as an occasion 3,6,9,12 etc.) and would keep her conscious for approximately 15-20 minutes after a feeding in the process the day and then enable her to nap. For the late evening and early morning feedings, i'd substitute her diaper first and then feed her in an exceedingly dark room so she would in elementary terms consume and not awaken totally and placed her today back to mattress. i'd advise the e book "On transforming into toddler clever" via Gary Ezzo and Robert Bucknam It became particularly powerful in getting my toddler on a schedule. stable success and grasp in there!

Get some professional health care advice. Your body will not have recovered completely from the last pregnancy/birth.

But for the many years to come, it will be so much easier for you. Your kids will be so close in age that they will be best friends. (most of the time!)

And expenses will be less than having two kids four or five years apart. Having two kids close together seems to make things cheaper to organise.

good luck!! i did that as well after my first pregnancy; unfortunately, it ended in miscarriage; my doctor said my body just wasnt ready to handle another pregnancy so close together. that most certainly does not mean that will happen to you too though!! a close friend of mine had a set of twins just 10 months after her first was born; lol so she has 3 under a year apart!! it will be hard on your body; im having #3 15 months apart from #2, and already, i have worse pain (round ligament) etc and my doctor accredited that to having close pregnancies. good luck to you; it will be hard also having the kids so close together, but IMO i think its nice having them close in age.

It's called "Irish Twins" when you have two kids in one year. Just hope that this pregnancy really isn't twins, and maybe next time figure out a better method of birth control.

Wow..that was fast but it has happened for a reason. You are going to be tired for sure looking after two young ones but I guess it would be like a woman who has just had twins for example. Maybe it's nice your kiddies will be so close in age...so be positive and feel blessed. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Well, that's definitely not good. Your body hasn't even had time to properly heal from the first pregnancy.
