I am a small girl and I stay about the same weight and i have 2 years till my wedding but I have found the perfect dress, adn I fear it will get discontinued. So I am impatiently waiting for that one year mark. I am almost 21 and my weight fluctuates between 103 and 125. Mind you im short too, so many alterations will need to be done.

But i dont want to buy a dress that wont fit for my wedding. Also I need to be sure it will fit when I get it in.

I'd buy it at least a size larger, probably even two sizes larger. It is easy to have a dress taken in if you are on the low side of your weight range, but very difficult to make it larger without ruining the effect of the dress by having to add material that isn't part of the original design. Good luck and congratulations :o)

I ordered my gown in the size that fits me now. Sizes tend to run a bit larger in wedding gowns, I got mine in a 10. I wouldnt get it too huge because the alterations to take it in so much might get expensive. I'd get the size that fits you...not bigger or smaller. If you happen to lose weight, great! But if not, you are still going to need only slight alterations

hi buy the dress now and then when it comes there is only a year left book someone then to do several dress fittings but make sure that you also have a final dress fitting about a week before the wedding so none of them naughty extra pounds have crept on good luck and have a lovely wedding day

I wouldn't buy it now. I bought a wedding dress one year in advance and didn't end up using it because my fiancee and I (now husband) decided to elope since the stress of planning a wedding proved too stressful. Also, how will you store it so that it doesn't get damaged? Wedding dresses aren't returnable, so think about this carefully before buying. I ended up selling mine on eBay for $50.

It depends on your weight at the time of the purchase. If you are at the heaviest weight that you usually get, I would buy the size that fits now. If you are smaller now than your max weight, I would buy the dress one to two sizes bigger.

If it truly is the dress you love, and you have looked at several other dresses, I would say go for it!

Best wishes!

buy it at least a size bigger and don't make any alterations until it's nearer to the wedding.

I would go to a seamstress and ask her opinion. She should be able to help you.
