Damned if you do and damned if you don't. Attack the mosque and further radicalise the fundamentalists as well as create a few martyrs for their cause or don't attack and let them continue preaching hatred.
Of course if or when, the hard core fundamentalists take over in Pakistan and get access to the Nuclear weapons stockpiles the only question would be who to turn them against first?
A) India, who are mainly Hindu and Sikh and therefore Pagans and worthwhile targets but who also have Nuclear weapons. Imagine two countries who have fought several wars since 1945. One countries peoples believe that if they die they will go up to heaven and get 72 virgins and the other believes in reincarnation. And they both have Nukes. Ka-boom!
B) Some western country like USA or Britain. BIt boring and samey but always a guaranteed crowd pleaser to the placard bearing hate filled massive back home.
C) Israel. Wipe them off the map? President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran seems to think so. Oh yes, he also claims the holocaust never happened. Doesn't the Koran say that in the day of judgement Jews will try to hide behind rocks but the rocks will speak "Hey, brother, there is a Jew hiding behind me, come and slit his throat."
D) All of the above. Let's hasten the end of the world and get our rewards in heaven.

Aslam-o-Alaikum WRWB
dear you asked for
was military action in LALMASJID in pakistan necessary
and many of guys answered yes many said no
but they forgot before they answer that the action was not against lal masjid it was against AL Jamiat-ul-Hafsa R.A.T.A.
the world largest institute of women formal Islamic education a subsidiary of Jamia Freediah R.A.
now i come to ur point i think u quested in error and u were asking wot i said
my answer is a little bit long so read it carefully
the issue started in September 2006 when Govt of Pakistan ordered to destroy 13 Mosques is the Pakistan Capital (Islamabad). furthermore it destroyed 7 of them and issued notice to 6 more mosques which hurts every muslim same like if a Christian destroys a Church in a Christian community or u can say u destroy the church in Vetikan City and Kill the Pop Jhon Paul somthing like that he says obey The Jesus and God only and if he has some body gaurds then they should be called as terrorists as Ghazi Shaeed's
So be carefull while determining
1. Abdul Rasheed Ghazi was the Deputy Manager of the institue
2. the rule of Pakistan says if there is a Mosque build on the property of Govt it will be destroyed unless it is paid
3. the property was of CDA Islamabad which sold it to Ahmad Faraz the Famous Poet for his NAtional Book Foundation
4. the Jamia was the property of Govt
5. Abdul Aziz and Abdul Rasheed were the employee of Govt
6. Jamia was build in 1966 and Cheif of Army Staff Gen Ayub Khan appointed the Maulana Abdullah as the Kahteeb of Lal Masjid(father of Abdul; Aziz & Ghazi)
7. He was killed in the same mosque By ISI (intelligence agency of Pakistan
8. None of the hostages were killed or kept for more than 36 hours by Lal Masjid Clerics
9. they provided food to every person present in the Jamia at the time of operation
10. they demanded amnesty
11. deadlock was created by Govt (Mussharaf itsef)
12. at night the agreement was done and at 4:30 operation started
13. there only sin was that they demanded to stop Prostituition, casinos, nudity, co parties, asking to establish the rules of islam(fudamentals)
i think these are the informatons on the behalf of which i can say and if u r with me i can prove that never the action was right and on this operation all obeying Gen are also sinners as they hold their own mind and thinkings i dont want u to think like me but thats a reallity
and i wana say those who said that it was neccessary
as they y\think that there were any foreigners inside i ask them why the govt has not shown even a silge yet
and if the ammunition and arms were with them like media showed why they havent used and why the made positions on roof while the ammu was in the lower basemet
i think u can think better now

Pakistan is a haven for terrorists and extremists. They must appear to be helping in the war on terror. But are they? Or are they protecting Afghanistan al-qaeda when they are hot, and then letting them slip back in whenever they want. This is not a war about countries as much as it is about religion. Say something about Islam in Lebanon, and watch all the Muslims in Pakistan freak out, burn effigies and call for a jihad. What a hopeless mess.

Absolutely. Those delusional madmen must be dealt with seriously. Otherwise there would be problems, not just in Pakistan but the world.
Its odd that mullahs be carrying guns in a mosque. Those madmen are a disgrace to Islam.

If we wish to stem the politicisation of religion, these stalemates must be resolved as quickly as possible in a fully transparent way. Islamist extremism is not Islam there is a big difference.

its hard for muslims to go kill their own people, but islamic fanatics have set themselves apart from the rest of the crowd. It was nessecary because first, the school was teaching illegal things. It's like saying teachers can go around schools in the US and teach kids how to use heroin.
