The "hell" certain religions try to show as the burning place where wrongdoers go... that's completely insane to me.
I believe that "hell" is this current life, this Earth. Do you know how many people are starved/drowned/burned/stoned/tortured/raped/etc.etc.etc. every day?! Too many.

Everyone has at least one point in their life that is the lowest they can ever be. That is personal hell, when it's just you and yourself, low, very low.
Really, now, I don't understand how people can believe in such an eternally loving G-d and preach hellfire and eternal damnation. It doesn't make sense to me. So I have my own beliefs, but try not to dwell on them too much. The afterlife isn't what we should be focused on: it's making the world better.

You could always ask the nine year old girl in Pakistan that was raped by four muslim men just because she was a Christian. Then ask her how she felt when her dad went to the authorities to have them prosecuted and nothing was done because they were Christian. The father actually ended up in jail on trumped up charges because he wouldn't stop until he got justice for his daughter. Then ask her if she still has her faith (yes). This is a true story multiplied all over the world. It happens to all sorts of people. I don't begin to understand why but I know that men do these things and God doesn't.

I think maybe anyone that thinks like them has an unforgiving nature no matter what the sin....and to them its like a sin not to believe what they believe. I dont believe that she would burn in hell just because she dosen't believe in God....So dont fear that just because there are some people out there that do. I hope that she would be in paradise after leaving this earth because living with the memory of that experience is more than enough hell for one person...even those pushy judgmental believers...lol

That is too bad fortunately the truth about hell can be found in the BIBLE, not what other men like Jonathan Edwards said it was. The Devil's biggest lie is that you will surely not die by disobeying God (Genesis 3:4 NIV) and yet so many Christians teach this without scripture!

The wages of sin is death, not eternal punishing. It's in the Bible, Romans 6:23, NIV. "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

The wicked will perish. It's in the Bible, Psalm 37:20, NIV. "But the wicked will perish: The Lord's enemies will be like the beauty of the fields, they will vanish—vanish like smoke."

The wicked will be burned up and nothing will remain. It's in the Bible, Malachi 4:1, NIV. "Surely the day is coming; it will burn like a furnace. All the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble, and that day that is coming will set them on fire, says the Lord Almighty. Not a root or a branch will be left to them."

When Christ spoke of everlasting punishment he did not mean everlasting punishing. It's in the Bible, Matthew 25:46, NIV. "Then they will go away to everlasting punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."

Sodom and Gomorrah suffered eternal fire but they are not burning today. It's in the Bible, Jude 7, NIV. "In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire."

The fire will be unquenchable, but when there is nothing left to burn it will go out. It's in the Bible, Matthew 3:12, NIV. "His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will clear His threshing floor, gathering the wheat into His barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire." Jeremiah 17:27, NIV says, "But if you do not obey Me to keep the Sabbath day holy by not carrying any load as you come through the gates of Jerusalem on the Sabbath day, then I will kindle an unquenchable fire in the gates of Jerusalem that will consume her fortresses."

The entire earth will be cleansed by fire. It's in the Bible, II Peter 3:10, RSV. "And then the heavens will pass away with a loud noise, and the elements will be dissolved with fire, and the earth and the works that are upon it will be burned up."

Who is destroyed in the lake of fire? It's in the Bible, Revelation 20:15, NIV. "If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire."

Hell is an event not a place. It's in the Bible, Revelation 20:9, NIV. "But fire came down from heaven and devoured them."

If you need any more info just ask me. :-)

Your question is responded interior the Bible text cloth you quoted: "people who practiced vile issues to a resurrection of judgment." that's shown interior the text cloth to be the choice of the resurrection of lifestyles. by fact the KJV places it: "And shall come forth; they that have executed solid, unto the resurrection of lifestyles; and that they that have executed evil, unto the resurrection of damnation." Matthew 25:40-one-40 six: "Then shall he say additionally unto them on the left hand, leave from me, ye cursed, into eternal fireplace, arranged for the devil and his angels...And those shall bypass away into eternal punishment: however the righteous into lifestyles eternal." interior the area of the ellipses I used, Jesus talks approximately each and all the works those human beings did no longer do. they are going to be judged via their works (the regulation) by fact they refused God's furnish of salvation via grace. no you possibly can get away punishment who chooses to be judged according to their very own works, by fact God's popular is perfection. Jesus defined this in Matthew 5:40 8: "subsequently you're to be suitable, as your heavenly Father is suitable." the only way we can be suitable is via accepting God's unfastened present; then the righteousness of Jesus Christ will cover us so as that as quickly as the daddy seems at us, He sees the righteousness of the blood of His Son overlaying our sins.

Quit generalizing Christians. The majority of Christians who say people are going to "burn in hell" have not even picked up a Bible. The doctrines of judgment at death and eternal torment are only included in the mainstream view (mostly Catholic), and differ from many teachings in the Scriptures, and of early Church Fathers. Origen, for example, taught Universal Salvation.

They could flip this one back on us, fellow atheist. What if a Christian girl had the same situation happen to her and we laughed when she prayed?

The point is, be compassionate to your fellow man.

Oh you didn't hear? Hell is filled with Christians telling you that you are burning in Hell. There is no actually burning, it's just you have to listen to them, over and over and over....

She's already in hell. But, then the bible condones punishment of females for being raped. It's a sick misogynistic book and religion.
