My cousin joined this 24 hour gym recently, and sometimes she works out very late. She'll even get up at 1:30 or 2 am to go lift weights and exercise. I though that a workout routine should be more structured around the morning or early evening so your body can adjust to it. Not just getting up out of your sleep at 2 am and working out all kinds of crazy hours of the night. Wouldn't it suit her better just to have a set schedule?

its ok to exercise at any time of the day but...not wake up from sleep to do that - body needs sleep much more than workout.
if your cousin would be working late for example and going to the gym after work at 2am, going to sleep at 4-6am and having 7-8 hour sleep - that would be fine. or waking up and working out that early then going to work and going to sleep early evening - thats fine too.

Sounds crazy to me. Sleep is very very important. Your body starts to secrete hormones for sleep when the sun goes down (lack of light). There is a time for sleep and a time for training. Sounds like she has mucked up the natural rhythms of her body.

well i did a strength and conditioning program at my old highschool run by my german teacher. this dude was huge. he played football for university of missouri and was invited to workout with the kansas city chiefs. he ruined his knee though before it happend. how much does that suck? anyways, he said to never workout after 10 at night because your body needs time to ease itself down for sleep. if shes only asleep for like 2 hours and then works out. say she works out for 2 hours, she wont be home till like 430. shes going to be so awake and only get a few more hours of sleep possibly. i highly doubt that can be good for your body. one time i did work out after 10 and i was completely drained the next day. plus, your muscles need sleep in order to repair themselves. if she's working out during the normal sleeping hours, how much time do they have to repair?
