I buy the refridgerated pillsbury pie sheets. Its pie dough that has been rolled out already and comes with 2 sheets in a package (bottom and top). I like this for a few reasons:

1. Its easy to cut designs out of the top or make strips for a latticed apple pie.

2. I really think frozen, already formed doughs suck. They are too hard and they are mushy in the bottom.

3. The sheets never get frozen, so they are flakier and just... better!

At my grocery you can find them by the refridgerated and packaged criossants/ cinnamon rolls/ buiscuts and tortilla shells. Its in a red box!

Hope they work for you... I think they are awesome!

A good frozen pie crust brand is pilsbury. As for the frozen cover, are you talking about mereingue? I don't know if they make that ready frozen......or are you talking about cool whip?
