are the pigs aloud to drive on the shoulder of the highway/freeway without there being some dire emergency where they need to get to a call even though there are already 50 pigs there but they feel the need to show up and feel important and boost there "manly" egos?

Unfortunatley, the police can get away with breaking those laws and those types of laws at will.

The general idea is for a police to do something of that nature, then later, when questioned, manufacture a reason for doing so.

Hmmm...Let me give you some examples of what goes on in a cop's head. Look up a few answers from this one. You will see a top contribuitor who cites his source as "One of The Good Guys." If he is distinguishing good from bad, then who does that make a bad guy? SInce his answer was contradictory to the tenents of your question, does that make YOU a Bad Guy?

Again look up a few more to Mary's answers. You got called out for not using a period. THAT right there is intelligence level of the typical cop. Periods. WE all know what periods are and we know how to use them to whatever level our understaing of proper punctuation is. Mary knows that periods go at the end of sentences. Therfore you were WRONG for not using a period, right? Since Mary's educaton stoppped at high school or below she is completely unaware of 'writing conventions.' A convention in an open forum like this one is anything goes. Grammatical errors, typos, shaky punctuation....These periods I am typing..Are all an accpetable forum of communication in this type of forum. The APA/MLA formatting procedures only apply to vocation/collegiate writing. But do you see? This cop or cop wanna be spoke out against you. You were WRONG, according to her. Good thing there isnt a law governing usage of periods in here or else you would have been falsely arrested, huh?

Look, cops are undereducated and not the good guys. Their goal is not to help anyone. Handle the police the same way you would a terrorist: Live your life how you want to live it and dont be afraid of them. Also remember, when interacting with police that you have a First Amendment Right to the Freedom of Speech. You can say whatever you want. If you did not break any laws and they are giving you a hard time, tell them to arrest you or leave. If you get arrested, get a lawyer. When you are found innocent, go after the cop and the police department. When you see cops breaking the law, overlook it if its something minor. If you see a cop doing something significantly wrong, call the news media..Or the Next higher authority..If its a city cop, call the county. If its a county cop call the State Highway Patrol. If its a State Highway Patrol call the FBI. Each department likes to make the other department look bad, dont forget.

Good luck =)

My answer was ROOTED in the question. LOL...Son, you have done nothing more than yet again demonstrate that 1.) Cops just aren't very smart 2.) They normally do not know what they are talking about. You rely on lengthy rhetoric and platitudes. Not true logic and reason. The question indicates when there is no reason..LOL...Oh good God. Folks of Yahoo! ANswers..The moral of this story is this: You just can't aruge with STUPID!

Next time you need help call 911 and tell them to send the pigs to come and save you. That way they'll know exactly who they're dealing with and will be sure to exercise all due caution while responding to your call for help.

Yes we pigs can drive on the shoulder of the road when we need to no matter how many of our brothers and sister are already on the scene. Heck we can have the whole department show up on the call if we need them too.

Dude, if all you have to do is call the people that protect your sorry *** names and complain about them driving on the shoulder to assist another officer at a call.....you have to get a life.

I figured I would title this the Ramblings of Idiots but even that would not do it justice. Colostomybag4fun1, before you start dishing out legal advice to unsuspecting people you should probably do your homework to make sure that you are for sure what you are talking about. The guy asked about a cop driving on the shoulder with no obvious emergency. So I have to ask since you know all and see all (from what I gather from your rantings) how do you know the cop didnt have something going on where lights and siren could have put someone in danger? Have you ever heard of an Amber alert? In case you havent let me tell you what it is. An Amber alert is when a child is kidnapped from an area, they issue one of these and let the community know. Lets say for instance you kidnap someone. If you could see and hear cops coming from a distance would you run to try and get away from them before they get to you? Now if the cop sneakes up on you, you dont see it coming and have less time to react. My point is, for all you know this cop was driving on the shoulder to prevent someone from knowing he was there. But to you, he was just an evil doer himself, a wolf in sheeps clothing so to speak that was just driving on the shoulder to be a jerk. Next your abililty to go into a long pointless speech about the use of periods really impressed me. Next time you go to jail, let the cop know how smart you are by telling him about your education in the English language. Im sure he will let you free on the spot. Oh and the Freedom of Speech thing, try saying whatever you want to a cop, I bet you will get hooked up for Obstructing Justice. If a cop is talking to you and you start popping off at the mouth, dont be surprised if you get hooked up. But stick to your period education that you so passionately preach, its your Get Out of Jail Free Card Im telling ya! So next time you or anyone else thinks a cop is in the wrong, unless you have a scanner in front of you and know the whole story, maybe you shouldnt concern yourself with it. The way I see it is so long as they keep driving by you and not trying to pull you over, why even care? Oh, and a lot of cops are educated. People just think they arent because it makes them feel like they have the upper hand by somehow being more intelligent.
