I still believe that there is a god.
PLUS> I feel that he would want me to do what I want to do cause i want to rather than pleasing everyone in the church

Hello. My mother and I both left the church for a variety of reasons. First and foremost would be the historical inaccuracy of the BoM, the complete and total falseness of everything Joseph Smith claimed and the urgency of the church to adapt and change their story according to every new piece of evidence that is found to clash with their theology. The frenzied way the members try at first to guilt people into staying, then punish them by shunning and cutting them off when they do leave proved that this was not a healthy church for us to participate in. I have never looked back and I have traveled extensively since I left. Almost every day I'm reinforced in the fact that I made the right decision. I'd as soon join the church of Scientology as I would attend the LDS church again. Neither are getting a dime from me!
Awaiting the queued frenzy of thumbs down from the masses! :)

To cajonsub:
Everyone has problems. We are not perfect in any way. I'm sorry that you are losing or have lost your testimony due to others. Remember, you are an individual with a lot of promise. Also, don't blame the church for your problems. All the church does is teach us guidelines of how to live a Christ like life and be able to return to our Heavenly Father.
Being bi-polar is no fault of anyone. It is a true medical condition. It is a chemical imbalance within the brain. I would advise getting medical help for your condition. It is quite possible that the happiness you feel outside the church is a coincidence with the high you feel. Without the properly prescibed medication, that high you feel can come crashing down and there will be a feeling of hopelessness and possibly thoughts of suicide, then action. I fear for your well-being. My wife has a cousin that is bi-polar. We fear for his well-being, because he has stopped taking his meds. Don't be fooled if you start taking meds and start feeling better, then you decide you are cured and stop taking your meds, bi-polar disorder is incurable and stopping is extremely dangerous.
I hope you heed to this advice. May the Lord bless you in your time of need.

Sorry to hear that. I hope you find happiness. Do you still believe in God?
I know when I am feeling suicidal I feel better when I pray and continue to develop a relationship with the Lord.
I came back to Church at 19 because life was awful for me and Church felt safe and I knew I could only trust in the Lord.
Even 10 years later I know I can only trust in the Lord.

I'm 18 female
I am not leaving because I finally found what I was looking for, those emptiness days are gone.
I am learning about life!
I feel much happy in church and around church people
My stories are great! and I have a nice testimony
**SUGGESTION**
Think about it seriously, if you have questions don't come to YA, this people here are always confusing everyone about the church. If you have questions, ask the bishop or missionaries, they are the best people to ask. ^_^
Look, if you keep strong everything will get well!!! i promise. Don't give up :]

You will still have to deal with the brainwashing and mind control and indoctrination, I am going thru theophostics (www.theophostic.com) to heal my past wounds and I went thru what is called freedom weekend to renounce the freemasondry int he mormon church to get rid of the demonic presence you get from the church ( sometimes known as those little voices of negativity that can still plague a person after they left the church) I am still having problems with demons showing up tho because I was sexually abused by my dad so I am working on that with my church, its some pretty freaky stuff, I have to deal with. I would get saved and if you experience any voices or demons or such get someone who knows what they are talking about because you may be dealing with some demonic opression and you don't need to be living your life in opression from the mormon church.

Dude, LDS has a very high suicide rate for young people. Impossible expectations. Glad you are getting out.
Try getting some professional help from a NON-LDS doctor or psychologist.
www.exmormon.org has great information and stories from people that have been through the same.
I was Mormon for 35 years, and yes, when I found it it was completely devastating. Rocked my world. However, now that I'm out, life if MUCH better. It will only get better for you.

I am not leaving and plan to live the Principle as taught by the Prophet Joseph Smith.
Love Yahoo is right that you should talk to your Bishop because many of us still practice polygamy and live the Principle. There are benefits to Mormonism.
Many Celestial Wishes To My LDS Brothers and Sisters!
