No one that I personally know has been killed intentionally, but I believe that everyone should be forgiven, everyone deserves a second, third, seventy-ninth, chance.
In January, a classmate of mine was killed in a car accident. The driver, another classmate of mine, walked away, but the other girl was taken out with the jaws-of-life. She died after a hard struggle in the wee hours of the next morning.
That's the closest the majority of us students, I'd wager, have ever been to someone killing another. So, how can you blame the driver for the other girl's death? It's just not plausible, and doing so is bad, for lack of a better word. You might as well blame the way the expressway was made so that in the icy months the path froze... Yes, blame the road constructionists, yes?
Perhaps not the best example, but that's the closest it's hit to me. Right now, I feel that forgiving is the healthiest thing to do for your own self, not necessarily for the other person. But I've never been faced with the dilemma, and I'm sure it is hard to do.

Jesus forgave them, Steven forgave them. Not only did they forgive those who were killing them but they asked The heavenly father to forgive them also.
I would like to think I would have the strength of character to forgive those who would kill me, only time will tell.
