"Early to bed, early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise" - Benjamin Franklin. Good advice, but I don't follow it either. It was easier to go to bed early when all I did was watch television, but there is something about the Internet that compels us to stay with it. Our brain keeps saying "Feed Me!" while our body says "I Need Sleep!". With the TV we are more aware of time and I think we lose that when on the computer. Maybe setting an alarm by the computer to signal "time for bed" might help.

Hi Mike:
I have the same exact problem. I maybe get 2 or 3 hrs of sleep a night and that usually isn't till somewhere around 7AMIt is really messing up my med schedule and i have no more sleep wake cycles .
It is 2:20am and I am wide awake , but not only on the computer I am working in the house and all.
The next time you are up in the middle of the night stop in an say hi!
I hope you find sleep soon.

You're not...-I force MYself to be "outta here" & in bed by 11:30 every night (or I'd end up like you!). Try THIS; get off-line & IN bed 15 minutes earlier, every other night- until you've reached the hour you're happy with (say- midnight). The bottom line is, SLEEP is an "imperative"; if we don't get enough- our quality of Life- goes down. The Computer will ALWAYS be "there"- tomorrow. -But YOU may not be- if you don't take care of yourself! Good luck! :)

Wow, I was thinking about asking a question similar to this. I have the same problem about not being able to force myself to go to sleep (but tonight I have an excuse. I've been reading scary things so I wouldn't be able to sleep anyway). But I've been staying up 'till after 3 in the morning. I should be asking this question xD
You're definitely not alone.

It is 2 am here and I am 13 years old!! I hate answers.yahoo because it is so friggen addictive so I am on here in the middle of the night. Do what I do - reach forward fiercely and shut off the computer. All done - well goodnight. I swear this is my last question. I swear this is my last question. I swear this is my last question. NOW GO TO BED!

I often don't go to bed until between 4 and 5. I don't know why! I usually feel tired at dinner time then get a second wind and don't feel tired at bedtime.

My downfall is a movie. If I get interested in it. I'll stay there till its over. Just keep telling yourself how shitty you re gonna feel in the am if you dont go to bed.
