Do you think this is being held to it's highest potential?
Of course a few people are gonna' get away with tax evasion and tax fraud but do you think the rich fvckers on their high horses are being taxed more then we are?
Do you think Bush and Cheney actually pay the due amount of taxes they owe each year or do they get some sort of break?
Do you even believe in progressive income tax?
ARE YOU EVEN THERE?

Yes they get breaks and you know what the good news for us is?
That's right you and the rest of us get to pay for it.
Don't you just love it.

The poor don't pay taxes some get checks from taxpayers. Smart people do tax planning so they do things like buying homes and investing in 401K plans.
High income couples who rent pay extremely high taxes while the poor with kids they can't hardly support get EITC and child care deductions.
Extremely wealthy pay higher taxes than most people but still try to minimize the expense by doing things like selling losers from their portfolio so the losses offset some gains.
It think progressive taxes are the only way it can work if we all paid the same amount from the first dollar with no deductions nobody would do things like being landlords because they couldn't deduct expenses.
Imagine the rage if we had say a flat rate of 10% on all income the people earning 20K supporting 2 kids who now get money for nothing would be paying 2K instead and complain they couldn't afford it and should keep getting the taxpayer money instead of being tax payers.
I get irritated at them when they complain about not getting a tax break when they don't even pay taxes.
