There's much more time for these resources to end. So relax. And the answer is alternative fuels. There's the famous "ethanol", biodiesel, ammonia, organic wastes n wood,etc. Then there is our mother nature. Sun, wind n water.

Right wrong or indifferent IMO it began with deregulation, O things flourished for awhile, then we stagnated for awhile, then we moved ahead again. But all the time this was happening, we began to drift. One little plant one piece of an industry at a time. Started in the textile section of the south, Moved into the fabrics, Clothing and sewing factories of the south, Fewer and fewer national brands time honored of being made in the USA were leaving. Then the Steel Industry started its break down. USS steel, Bethlehem and others like them, Then came the electronics boom. and bust. No longer were T.V.'s being made in this country. Matter of fact there is not one Major brand of TV or Washer or Dryer, or Refrigerator or Appliance per se, Made in this country, So to say we lost focus is an understatement, We went straight up BLIND. No rallying cry, NO input from the Federal Government, NO alarm bells going off. Just wholesale evacuation of major American business leaving America. This can be turned around, steps need to be taken, but it can be corrected. Obama is not the man to do it. Its going to take someone with Back bone and the true best interest of this Nation at heart. Please look at alternatives. Such as the Constitution Party of the US. join today, and start putting America back together again,

You have not stated your present age to determine the likelihood of your surviving 40 to 50 years, but your sense of anxiety seems to be misplaced. Alternate sources of energy will replace the current modes. 0nly a l00 years ago,who could imagine that a man would fly like a bird, and that it will be possible to fly around 800 human beings at the same time. So, stop worrying and enjoy. I think there is a popular English song Ke sera sera whatever will be will be, the futures not for us. Your anxiety is akin to that of a seth who asked his munim as to the level of his riches, and when told that it was adequate to last for seven generations, he was worried and enquired as to what will happen to the 8th generation. Do you agree or still want to worry about the future generations.

By that time,we should have learnt to use any other resourses (like solar energy,huge batteries,wind energyor tidal energy) to use for these purposes....
If it won't happen,let us try to make petrol from plants,as said in the link below;
