I am so PISSED i go out and buy a computer game and come home to find out that my CD/DVD drive wont open!!!!it just keeps making this sort of buzzing noise(wtf) when i try to open it.plz help me.

oh yea the drive dosent even open when i go to put the disk in

when i try to open it with the paper clip it acts like it's jammed is there anyway i can unjam it?

Try opening it this way.
Go to "My Computer"
right click on the CD/DVD drive and scroll down to "eject".
Sometimes that works when the tray open button fails.
If that fails, straighten out a paper clip and insert it in the little hole near the tray and it will release the locking catch and release the door. That is the reason that little hole is there.
Response from your more information:
Try turning off the computer then insert the paper clip, (you may have to push with some pressure), and the door should open slightly, then grab the door and pull open. Often after you use this manner the tray will open as it should once more.

There should be a little hole on the face plate of the cd drive, just take a paper pin and poke it in the hole and ur cd drive door should open.

Check your device manager and see if the system is being seen by windows. Go to start>control panel>system>hardware>device manager. If there is a ? by your DVD, then it is not recognizing it. You may need to reinstall the drivers or it just may be time to get a new DVD.

SOUNDS LIKE A WARPED DISC. TAKE IT BACK TO THE STORE AND ASK THEM TO PUT IT IN A PLAYER. IF THEY HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM, NO DOUBT THEY'LL EXCHANGE IT FOR YOU.
