w/out treatment, the dog will die of dehydration. they need liquids and antibiotics via IV.

the virus attacks the lining of the digestive system and the dog is unable to absorb any nutrients or liquid. It is also very contagious, and can live on the ground where an infected dog may have left feces for almost 6 months. If you have other dogs, it's important to keep them separated immediately, and talk w/a vet on how to clean the contaminated area. Hope you don't have a dog w/parvo, but if you do - and seek medical treatment immediately, you have a strong chance of getting through this!

First take to a vet or an animal ER thats open 24 hrs, because it will need 24hr care. With that being said under stand cost and YOUR financial background. I have seen cost start at 1800.00 to 2000.00 . It is best to realize what you can and can not afford. This is an expansive disease.Ther nice thought is once they get it they can't get it again ( body build antibodies to the virus ) and if the dog is 50 pounds or above it can (if it can do it ) be entered in a blood donor program where they can harvest its Plasma for puppys with the virus(aka Parvo Bullet). Parvo puppys usual need plasma transfusions due to the fact it protein levels go down due to the virus in the system. The "bullet" has special marked proteins that help the puppy recoup better . I highly recommed owners that have larger dogs to become donors they really do save lives.I sure hope this helps. Good Luck to you and your puppy. Dogs survive this, it usually gets worse before it gets better.24hr monitoring is needed so in case` something happens a nurse or doctor can meet the needs of the puppy asap.

The dog has to be treated by the vet with IV antibiotics or it will die. If you take the dog to the vet in the morning, if it hasn't been sick for more than 48 hours, it will have a chance of surviving.

You have to have the dog treated by the vet.. He needs to stop with the vomiting and diarrhea.. and he needs his liquids replenished.. Probably needs an antibiotic.. He needs care by someone who knows how to properly treat the disease so he has the best chance possible to survive

I HAD THE SAME EXPERIENCE WITH ONE OF MY DOGS ,WHAT YOU CAN DO IS FORCE IT TO DRINK WATER THAT'S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR THIS NEXT HOURS WHILE YOU TAKE IT TO THE VET, I'M SURE YOU CAN SAVE IT, TRY TO MAKE HIM EAT OR DRINK WHATEVER, AS LONG as he eats or drink something you might be able to save it's life .good luck

I think that once they have it there's nothing you can really do, but to be sure call a vet or the SPCA and ask.
