No because I believe given enough time I could actually teach calculus to a 5 year old. -sigh-
My favorite piece of Christian Logic- We know intelligent design created the universe because God wrote it in the Bible.

Logic and religion don't mesh well. Thats not to say that logic is useless or that religion is unecessary, they are just different ways of thinking.
You can't use logic to explain music or your favorite sports team either. Can you explain art with mathematics? Quantum physics has as many contradictions as Christianity.
In the words of a famous modern physicist whose name escapes me: "If you're not confused, you haven't been paying attention."
Fanatacism in any form is dangerous and often leads to hatred. Science has almost reached religious status and while it can explain a lot of things, science cannot explain everything.
Why are the clever so mean to the good? Why are the good so ignorant of logic? When are we going to learn to use both halves of our brain at the same time?
When we can come together with peace and compassion for all and learn to live with our paradoxes then we will all take a step forward as humans.
One world, one race. Peace out.

Ok maybe I'm alittle out of it right now but they may be the greatest comparison ever. Just replace Spidey with jesus and it is a perfect parrallel. Heck if jesus fought the Green Goblin I might pick up the bible

Neh, it's more like teaching a 1 year old how to use the potty. They just don't want to use the toilet because the diaper is all they've known and it just feels better. The diaper is warm, snug, cosy and you can enjoy it in the company of others, but the toilet is cold, hard, and lonely.

Yes. I had that problem last night actually.
Its like your arguing with a three year old.
Like, I speak and they dont listen.
But when the bastard was explaining to me the other night when God literally spoke to him.. like, he was just chilling and God started ******* talking to him. I almost wanted to puke. It seems you cant attack their beliefs.. cause honeslty, I should have told him if he was hearing God, thats usually called schizophrenia.. but if they want, they can **** all over your beliefs. : )

For me it's more like talking to a wall. Some of them aren't really interested in knowing and are just being inflammatory and insulting.

I think a more prudent question is, How can an atheist explain reason without God. Reason its self holds the presupposition of God. Reason does not come from chance. An atheist must be a materialist, the laws of logic are not material.
You cannot give reason for something your world view cannot account for.

someone answered an evolution question once by saying that they may as well try to explain it to their golden retriever......this made me laugh as it seemed so very appropriate & was a nice image :)
That said I am not really here to explain myself so much as to clarify what I think, and to convince myself that it really is true that there are people out there who think evolution is 'just a theory' & that the world is only 6000 yrs old.
It blows my mind & I cannot accept they exist.....sadly I am gaining too much evidence that they do....I keep hoping they are just messing with my mind......
