The bible also says Cor 7:12 "To the rest I say this (I, not the Lord): If any brother has a wife who is not a believer and she is willing to live with him, he must not divorce her. And if a woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to live with her, she must not divorce him. For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy."

I'm a Christian who is in love with a Jew. She is also a Christian though, so maybe things are a little different.

But what I see in the world is a lot of confusion on both sides. There are prejudices that remain within the family dynamic which do not tend to die easily.

But here in California, there doesn't tend to be a major backlash from families and friends. I think that it is because California is such a melting pot of everything, and it has influenced many in their thinking.

Catholics don't approve of mixed marriages. I don't know about other sects. As for jews I think it is a negative "sorta." I mean the Rabbis probably don't approve. According to their tradition if the MOTHER is Jewish then the children are as well. Many Jews are not religious at all so it might not matter to them and first. But, then again, they may change their minds.
Re: God, If we could hold peoples humanity against them then people like you would be in very bad shape.

My mom became Catholic and my father became Jewish whilst they have been married interior the Catholic Church. My father later converted to Catholicism, yet that wasn't his reason on the time of their marriage, so as that actuality had no impact on the marriage itself. the two way, the church blessed the union, so there should not be a situation. of path, interior the tip, that is as much as the guy priest or preacher who will carry out the marriage ceremony. If the preacher is easily judgmental or has some very own dislike of "mixed" marriages, it would be harder. nevertheless, i think of it would be high-quality.

I dont see any reason why not. But thinking of it I've actually said "It would be cool if one of my parents were jewish I wish I had extra holidays to celebrate I didn't mean it to seriously (this was around christmas) and I will never forget someone said "you would not want to be jewish blah blah blah their beliefs made up, what's even more interesting is that this person wanted to be a preacher when he grew up. Surely he knew that jewish people share the old testament with us. Their beliefs just stop there and ours continue I'm not jewish but I really felt put down that this person would say that. Dont understand this either

A true Christian should never marry anyone who is not also a Christian. The Bible says "Be ye not unequally yoked."
Marriages between Christians and non-Christians lead to nothing but heartache and regret.

Don't be unequally yoked. All that will happen is you'll fight about how to raise the kids etc.
I find that more likely to happen in Jewish and Armenian homes than Christian.

Love is all that matters. Everything else is superficial and can be worked through.
