Who's paying for this dental plan? Your parents? Or you? Do you have any idea how expensive this will be? (Individual plans? Over $500 a month. Family plans are about $1,000) a month). That's why there are so many uninsured people....it costs too much. I think you had better talk to your parents. If you have a job and it does not come with dental, then find another job that does have full benefits.

considering that you are still a minor, your parents should have you covered on a dental plan. however, if you are working fulltime in most cases your employer will offer some type of healthcare and dental plan. although considering your age, you may want to check to see if your are eligable for medicaid. you can also check with you local health department to see if they have any information regarding dental providers and insurance plans. another option is that most dental offices do offer payment plans. for a final option, you can try "care credit." this is basically a credit card specifically for dental which may cover healthcare or vetinary visits also. i am not sure of the requirements for this, but good credit is a plus.

the plans available will depend on where you live. Try doing a search for dental insurance and your city/state.

FYI, UNDER THE LAW YOU ARE A MINOR AND WON'T BE ABLE TO GET YOUR OWN INSURANCE UNTIL YOU'RE 18.
