While making certain life decisions I wonder about the human race. Our thoughts and actions are shameful; we can be selfish, greedy, dishonest…. Why? What is the main reason for us to be this way? Do we realize we are very minute beings that can die any moment, any day, whether young or old? Do we think about the millions of things that can go wrong with our body? One single switch in only one of the millions of reactions of our body could lead to a defect. I can die tomorrow morning when I walk to my car, it could even happen while I am asleep today!
This makes me wonder, what is there to life? Think about it...Of course there is love, relationship, family, money, power and everything else that exists. But at the end, what is it all for? Think, what is our final destination after living in this corrupt world, after the greed, lies, drugs, sex, violence. Don't we all leave one day, for our works and names to be forgotten?
I believe life can be more meaningful if we realize there is something much bigger than us. We are all seeking happiness here. I believe true happiness comes from being a righteous person; a good person who helps those in need and one who has accepted and follows God.
Any reactions? What do you think? What gives you meaning in life even with all the above things in mind??

Al Swear…. Still Got your attention.
Pln >> Not everyone is Gandhi or George Washington. Sorry to let you know but some years from now you will be forgotten. My point is the evil in this world is not worth it because it is not the path to happiness. “Love one another and love God in heaven with all your heart.”
The one and only GOE:à The bible says GOD created Adam and Eve.

You are on the right track,
In the end we are just a handful of dust.
What makes us human is how we treat others while here.
"For all of your money won't another minute buy"
Dust in the wind.
Good question, we as spoiled humans are to full of ourselves.
Peace be with you all!

You said certain things - "Our thoughts and actions are shameful" "Don't we all leave one day, for our works and names to be forgotten?"
You said other things that imply we're all liars, theives, prostitutes, drug users, greedy perverts, etc. But that's not true.
Nor is it true that we are forgotten- even the least of us has someone who has been affected by us in a positive way, allowing for us to be remembered for our actions long after we are dead.
Why do you assume that we must all be Christians in order to to be good people who help others? Was not Gandhi a good and righteous man? Yet he was not Christian. And he is still quite remembered.
You seem to have quite a negative viewpoint on life, and about humanity in general. If I knew you better, I might be seriously concerned about your health and wellbeing if this is how you feel all the time.

Big Question. Each person must find their own reason to live. Or reasons for how to live. Basicly it comes down to dealing with the consequenses of your actions.
Religion is only one way to approach this question. Philosophy looks for that answer as well. So do Secular Humanists.
Just do not stop looking and wondering. Finding an (one of many) answer in Christianity is only the beginning. Continue observing (witnessing, in the sense of paying attention to what you see). Keep an open mind, and remember yours in not the only viewpoint. (Think about what "viewpoint" means.
And are you happy?

Life in the FLESH is very confusing even to best of us who try to live in the ways of the spirit. One of the most confused parts of our species is to THINK a GOD who is PERFECT and INFALLIBLE created "us," which of course is a fallacy. Mankind in it's religions STIPULATES this because to ACCEPT the truth would mean having to accept the TRUE creator of this species which is totally imperfect and just like US. Or should I SAY, we are just like HIM. The "devil." This species is EXACTLY like it's Father and Jesus said so in all he TAUGHT, but mankind being the egotisical, delusion creature of it's creator tends to always deny TRUTH. I can see why you are confused which is no DIFFERENT than milliions out in the world that can't figure it all out because they ways religions TEACH IT, is totally BACKWARDS. If only some of these would gain HUMILITY and ACCEPT that we could not be creatures created by a perfect God but the IMPERFECT one, they may gain true wisdom and learn to start at the BOTTOM by eating their vanity and gain humility THUS clilmbing the latter to LEARN why the Lord in heaven offered us GRACE and a chance at ETERNAL LIFE Who the hell wants to live on this planet always putting up with it MISERIES ? I certainly don't. There are "two" parts to every being on earth. The FLESH and the SPIRIT. The "impure" and the "pure." Nomatter how DELUSIONAL religions get in their teachings the FLESH will NEVER be PURE and "moral."
So why all the RULES. Jesus gave only TWO. Love one another and love God in heaven with all your heart. That in itself is ENOUGH and are the HARDEST things to do in THIS llife.................

I agree with temptations, thoughts, actions, etc around us.
Having Spirituality as the center of my personality and work. Guided by nature, or by chance if I come across someone who needs help or guidance. By God's blessings if I can offer that, or just a prayer to someone who needs it. Makes life meaningful to me.
Being a Catalyst to someone's life transformation, makes life meaningful. By experience since I was a child, I've found, realized, cherished, felt it. It is wonderful to help someone.

I believe in a god of unconditional love that created our souls with free will (not humans) in his likeness. many souls could not bear to leave fathers side for the loss of love. many souls went out and returned to share their adventures. Some souls rebeled wanted to be a god themselves. This place (earth system) WAS CREATED FOR THE SOUL TO MAKE ITS FINAL CHOICE. Do they really want to be a "little God and live in dominion=lordship over others. or return to father of love/fellowship/joy/sharing/ab... bliss.
What if heaven and hell are exactly the same except for one difference? What ever you picture in your head heaven to be, imagine hell to be the same except for one difference. Everything you can do in heaven you can do in hell except for one difference. The difference is love or dominion. If you choose love you are in heaven, you are sharing love/joy/fellowship, absolute bliss in all you do.
If you choose dominion you are in hell, everyone will be dominion bent, acting without regard to anything but personal pleasure, personal gain, exercising power over others. Everyman for himself in all that is done. Everything else is the same.
Now which path do/will you choose? LOVE or DOMINION

Don't take this the wrong way, but when you write MUST READ, you might consider writing something that's a bit more profound.
Nice try though.

If you need to find your meaning for your life in religion that's fine. I have goals, these goals are what keep me driven. Helping those in need has nothing to do with choosing a religion.
