Here are two articles on it. They are not putting them in the food that is sent over, but some guy is doing it in the dumplings he is selling on the street in CHINA...not here

Oh come on, I didnt hear that one but lol, I heard other things already.
SIgh, there were even exposes about picking up discarded chickens, coloring them red etc, and passing them off for fresh. Eyew.
The backlash on the pet food fiasco is on overdrive and all these stories are coming out of the woodwork. WHo knows what is real and what is not anymore?
Just buy local produce and food products or grow your own vegetables and take all of these as a sign to finally go vegetarian.

According to the newspaper it was disgusting and true. A cook was making dumplings and mashed cardboard to pulp, then mixed it into the dough. I doubt that it was for flavor. It was cheap filler.
Between that, the dog food and toothpaste, check your label before eating anything from China right now.

Dunkin Donuts has been doing this for many years here in the US. If you have ever chewed one of their donuts for about 50 times, what is left in your mouth then is a mixture of cardboard and saw dust.

No. You can take the credit for starting this rumor without fearing that someone else can claim to be first.

i've heard way worse than that about chinese food. ;p
someone once asked me (jokingly) if i ever wondered why so many chinese restaurants are next to pet stores...? (sick, i know).
anyway, i love chinese food, so bring on the cardboard. (sorry, i know you're grossed out). enough soy sauce will drown out any bad taste.
