I am a creationist. Yeah I said it. I believe in Jehovah. But I will admit I dont know much about what others think about the worlds origins. I believe in order to efficiently talk to people about something you must know their side. No I will not preach to you on here, but, I would like to know how you think in order to help me. Thank you to all who participate!

Marcus~ I agree....as a scientist that is what I think as well. We only know of the science of it and He knows the rest. It is all too big to not have His hand in it and yet some dont think that.

Jehovah greated life, with Jesus witnessing it all.
Everything came to be because of him and his love for us, as you may know God is love.
I believe that the Bible is God's inspired word and I believe everything is from him. Reading the book of Genises explains it all.
KEEP ON PREACHING SISTER,YOU HAVE THE TRUTH!

This is not an answer to your question but I am happy to see you actively seeking knowledge. Beliefs only change when one is confronted with new wisdom, knowledge, and experience. You say you don't know much about what others think about the worlds origins, have you ever thought that you believe in Jehovah because you know of nothing else that has been explained so thoroughly to you? And that the majority of interactions with a Jehovah family and church members only reinforces that belief? Like I said congrats on looking for different viewpoints, it will only mature your understanding of everything.

I believe what the Bible says - that God is responsible for the existence of all that exists, including living species. The Bible however does not reveal the natural processes through which God produces new species. Why would it? The Bible is not a book of biology, and the biological development of species has nothing to do with the message of salvation. Therefore I look to science for this kind of information, recognizing that no natural truth revealed by sciencve could possible conflict with the truth of the Holy Bible, properly and authoritatively interpreted. Obviously objective truth revealed by science can conflict with unauthoritative, simplistic, literalist personal guesses about the meaning of Scripture. But I don't go there, so that is no problem for me.

I believe that God created the world in six days BUT I don't think that a day for God is the same Day for us. For many reasons. Humans, the earth, and the sun were each made during separate days meaning that God didn't use our logic, the earths rotation, or the sun, to decide that his day was up. I believe that his creation of the universe took place over the course of billions of years (which is merely days to him) via evolution, and the big bang. I like to incorporate science into my religion.

I believe it is reasonable that everything we know could come into place by naturalistic processes. I won't go much farther since you cannot express whether you are asking about the origin of life, or the origin of the world -- two vastly different topics.

God created Evolution and He saw that it was good, although it's also clear that He guided it with His hand to eventually produce the modern homo sapien, with the capacity to know Him and emulate Him, our physical bodies evolved just like everything else, and He sent His divine spirit down into us to continue our spiritual evolution and return to God whence we came.
Of course, He also provided the spark of life, and that's one thing that only He knows how was done, the spark that created the replicating DNA of that first cell billions of years ago, who knows how it happened? Only God ever will.
Every scientific process on the face of this earth, is a glory of God's creation. Creation AND Evolution, it's a fact.

I believe mankind began the same way an individual does. We are concieved or created and then we go through an evolutionary process until we become man and then we reach the point where we stop evolving and start dying.
Do you think mankind has finished evolving? I do.

* Evolution is a proven fact
* Not knowing this makes the rest of the western world ridicule americans
* We don't know exactly the details of abiogenesis, but there are several viable scenarios.
Have you ever read, say, a book about evolution? If you have any questions, please ask - in the right category.
