Not in my opinion. But some people deserve being taken out of the gene pool - hopefully before they reproduce.

I'm guessing this might be in response to the 20/20 episode that just aired. Anyhow...
By asking the question, you have made the following assumptions:
1. There is an absolute right and wrong.
2. This right and wrong, morality, is somehow coded or imbued into us.
3. Our souls are eternal.
4. A God/Judge/Force exists that judges how well you followed that moral code.
Whether anyone would deserve eternal punishment would depend on the nature of that God/Judge/Force. If this Judge were the same person as the Creator, then it would imply that the Creator desires justice-- why code something into people if he did not expect us to follow it? So, assuming the Creator/Judge desires morality and justice, there must be punishment that fits the crimes.
However, why create fallible beings in the first place? Logically, the Creator could have created perfect beings to follow His code without fail. We must assume, then, that the Creator wanted his creation to choose to follow the path He laid out for them. This is true devotion to the Creator-- to choose to follow the harder path, the path of morality, out of commitment.
If we have a Creator who desires justice, and we have fallible created beings (us), it follows that we all deserve punishment at some point. Whether that needs to be eternal punishment would depend on the heart of the criminal. If the criminal repents of his/her crimes, no matter how heinous, an offer of forgiveness would be extended by the Creator, who only desires for us, the created, fallible beings, all criminals, to return to Him.
So, to answer the question, yes, those who remain unrepentant do deserve eternal punishment. Great question, by the way. Really made me think logically why I believe what I believe.

Does any one deserve eternal life?As far as eternal punishment I believe that you are judged at the great white throne judgment then you are cast into the lake of fire along with HELL and the Devil and his Angels.Your punishment is eternally separated from God.You die forever and won`t ever live again.

All have sinned and deserve ETERNAL SEPARATION AND PUNISHMENT FROM GOD.
GOD has graciously provided for our salvation through JESUS.

Romans 3:22-24
New King James Version
22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference;
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

Eternal punishment? No.
Eternal separation from God? Yes, if that is
what one would choose. Eternal separation
from God would be the worst punishment
that anyone could possibly impose on them-self.
God's prevenient grace covers all of mankind
until the day it will be too late to choose.

Only those who have disregarded the opportunity to serve God.
Those who were unknowing, no, they do not. Those who chose to turn from him or not accept I feel are taking the risk of their fate.
Who am I to say that they deserve eternall punishment?
I believe all people are able to receive eternal life, even if they had been a murderer or commited unthinkable sins. God does forgive.
It is a personal choice.
God will decifer the good and evil.

My perception of heaven and Hell is that Hell is diastant from God where as Heaven is close to God. So that it is positional rather than place. So each person gets what they have wanted through out their life. Do you believe ( implied in the question) That no matter how evil someone is other than getting a bad reputation in the history books they should not have any other consequences?

Only when a few years(it's hard to be bad non-stop) or so in 80+ years = infinity, which is never. So no, no one deserves eternity for a few years of being bad.

No. What's the point of eternal punishment? It's clearly a concept that appeals to people who want vengeance and not justice.

No.
Punishing someone after death serves no good purpose. Their deeds have already been done and in all likely hood those people have probably suffered a great deal already. Children learn from those around them and not everyone has the best or kindest role models--the worst kinds of abuse tend to create the worst monsters.
A person should have peace in death, no matter who they are. That's the born right of anything that lives and dies.
