Congratulations, Isa. You've taken the first steps on the road to a rational life that may, for you, lead to the sane and comforting concept that there is no God.
Most of the evils in our modern world come from those who are incapable of overcoming the hard wiring in human brains that makes us think there must be some overseeing figure, benevolent or tyrannical, who is responsible for what are actually our own decisions, individually, as nations or as a species.
"Paradise" will only come when every human, whether harboring a god-concept or not, can understand that making this a livable, civil world is up to him or her--not some father/mother/big brother up there in the sky. The idea that there's a God may be a comforting to many, but brings guilt, psychological paralysis and misery to just as many others. At its worst, God serves as a rationale for harsh and destructive ideas, judgments and actions.
If you feel the God you've grown up being taught exists is mean, then find another god-concept...or better yet, learn that a ruler in the sky is a quaint custom that a modern world of enlightened people can do better without.

God never came out of the clouds and said do this and you will go to hell he repeatedly reminds you that even though you have done these things you can be forgiven if you ask God and are truly sorry in your heart for what you did. In the time the bible was actually written women weren't considered important and sometimes their names weren't put down it would be once a women was blah blah blah. But if you read the bible you will see that allot of the things jesus said and did confuse some of the people of his time because of the way he talked about women in a more equal status role. An example would be when the followers of jesus were arguing because he had told mary magdaline a special teaching that they hadn't and that it wasn't fair because she was a women. And do you expect God to see all this sinning and think um well thats ok if they didn't say sorry to me after going behind my back and lying , cheating, stealing and greed and ect even after he made us and prepared a special place for us when we die so that we could live in happiness in heaven? Homosexuality in my personal belief is a mental thing and I'm sure there are people who cant help it but its a sin not because that person is evil or anything like that but because they are not acting in a way in which God intended humans to act. God isn't mean he's fair. You may not like a police officer who gave you a ticket until he jumps in front a bullet for you.

You know what? I think a lot of this is misinterpretation of the bible. So I tend to think that most of that stuff is flat out nonsense and completely man made. God does not hates gays, people hate gays (not me, for the record, I believe very much in to each his own). You know, I've recently learned that masturbation isn't a sin and I say that knowing full well that I'm Catholic and my church believes that it is. But it's not, that's a man-made concept completely. So it sex before marriage. Getting angry is not a sin unless you hurt another person with your anger. You're allowed to feel whatever emotions you have; you just aren't allowed to wound another person b/c of them. So people who get angry and beat their kids might go to hell, but just b/c you're stressed and you snap at someone doesn't mean you're automatically going to hell. And even then, everybody has an out. YOu have only to ask for forgiveness for it to be granted. Repent and be forgiven. Seriously. That's it. People take things a bit too seriously.

First of all, God created ALL of mankind in His image, including women! Men are the logical ones and we are the nurturing ones... we get to carry babies and we have the softer loving side that balance out the man... God saved women and listened to them in the bible - Rahab was a prostitute saved by Jesus in a falling city... Sarah was able to conceive a child in very late years... He loves us too! Sure, society has messed up the image of women by turning us in to objects, but look at how we portray men as well (simpsons, everybody loves raymond - ie idiot dads...) Also, who says He keeps homos out of heaven? Mere man? Only God can judge our hearts and a true christian should never condemn another person.

Ok, first, God loves you...male or female. God created us in His image....and that creation was specifically male and female.
There are hundreds of women in the Bible--go to www.alabaster-jars.com and look at the list----and frankly that list is no where near finished yet.
God doesn't keep homosexuals out of heaven. Homosexual activities are sin, just as adultery is a sin.....yet homosexuals just like heterosexuals can accept Christ and be saved.....and just like everyone else they can work to over come sin in their lives. We're all fallen creates---all of our natures are sinful. But the Father sent Christ to give us away to become new creations.
Getting angry is not a sin. David got angry, Samson got angry (and while Scripture doesn't say so specifically, the Shunamite woman's actions suggest she was a little miffed.) In fact, God gets angry and Jesus got angry. And David got angry at God---let's be honest, several of the Psalms showed a man seriously peeved with God. Yet we have a choice on how to respond to our anger. (And if we're like spoiled children, quick to anger and ready to explode on someone we've probably crossed into sin.)
God doesn't just make people suffer for their sins forever...in fact, God has gone to great lenths to separate us from sin. He has given us a way out of sin.
God is forgiving...the question is whether we will accept that forgiveness or do we prefer to wallow in our sin. Let's be honest, sin is easier. Sin is more comfortable. Its far easier and comfortable to do what we want when we want, rather than depend on God. And once we make that choice it seems a bit odd to blame God for our choices. Its like saying, "God, you opened the door and told me to come in; and I wanted to stay out. I didn't want to have to cross the threshold...urgh, God, its all your fault I didn't go in cause you shouldn't have told me I could come in..you're just trying to make me do what you want."
So no, I don't think God is mean. If someone doesn't want to accept Christ, fine don't. If someone doesn't want to give up sin, ok, fine don't. But then how can that person blame God?

Well, the truth is that God is a God of love, but also a God of wrath. He is forgiving of those who ask for it. And you don't go to hell for getting angry....Everything you do is FREE WILL, so it's your choice to do what god says or otherwise, you just have to suffer the concenquences of your choices.

You have a long, long, long, long road ahead of you if this is an early indication of how much you DON'T understand God. Sure, homosexuality is a sin, but so is adultery, stealing, spreading false rumors, murder, hurting children (anyone for that matter), and other things as well.
Which is more horrible-God, who gives you a lifetime to realize these things; or the people who sentence themselves to eternal torments because all they wanted to do while in life was to whine about how unfair they-a mere mortal- thought the Creator was, and acted like a child throwing a temper tantrum well into their adult lives up to and including their demise?

OK then...you really don't have a clear view of the bible. There are plenty mentions of women in the bible. I'm assuming you refer to the Christian god. As far as your question, yes, the god of the Christian bible is a twisted, sadistic meany through and through.

Well, God knows all about this, and SHE is pissed too!
Narrow minded people keep trying to define God in self serving and hateful ways. Fortunately, God can speak directly to you, sister. And She isn't mad at you for getting angry.
