i have a similar experience to that. lol If you keep it really clean as long as it is not letting blood pool in the cut and its not a deep gash you can put alot of neosporon on it and bandage it up well and keep the area clean and rebandage it every like 4-6 hours till it starts to itch and heal. then take the bandage off and let the air get to it. It worked for me. But lol you should really see a doc! =] goooood luck and have a great evening!!!

Sometimes wounds will scar worse if not stitched.
If you use a butterfly bandage or some other bandage that keeps the wound closed properly, you will be fine. Going to the hospital for one or two stitches is a waste of time and money, a proper bandage and care will probably leave a smaller scar than the stitches would.

depends on how deep the cut is.
i've cut my finger twice pretty bad to the point where most people would say go get stitches, but i didn't and it ended up fine. stiches makes the wound heal much faster and prevents infection better, along with less scarring I imagine.

The tissue will reconnect, and the scar will typically be larger than it would've been if stitches were applied. You can use butterfly stitches (a type of bandage), which I believe are available over-the-counter.

Stitches only make the healing process faster. It will not inhibit the ability of the body to heal naturally to not use stitches. (Stitches also reduce the likelihood of infection.)
