I can't see myself paying so much for such a chunky machine when I get the same entertainment value from the PS2 Slim.

i liked my ps2, but i absolutely love my ps3

The ONLY reason I can see to buy a PS3 is for Metal Gear Solid 4. But beyond that, I don't see any games I'm too particularly excited about. And anyways, I just bought a PS2 with my first paycheck. I got GH2, both MGS 2 & 3, and Shadow of the Colossus. I'm having enough fun with these games and whatever other games I'll buy for my PS2 to need a PS3 for like another year. So much have I missed out on!

Well the PS2 is still getting games unlike the X-box. I would wait until the PS3 gets cheaper or you could buy a PSP or PSP 2.0 ( when released ) if you would like a portable Sony console. Well i would say keep your PS2 , for now. If you have an X-box I would recommend getting an X-box 360. The Wii is also a great way to get some exersise. So yes just keep your PS2 for now.

no i wanted a sony ps3 and i went out and bought it...i get what i want most of the time and that was a goal i wanted to acheive and i did...now that i have my ps3 i can't think of one thing to complain about other than the connections to the tv and the outlet for power...once that can go wireless i'll be a happy man but like i said i love my ps3 and i still have my ps2 which i use to play my burns game and my ps2 games...just because i don't want to ditch the console from which brought me into the sony world

I haven't been sold on the PS3, I decided to buy it myself and have had it for over 6 months. I think that the people that complain about the PS3's price just can't afford it. The PS3 can upconvert your old PS1 games and PS2 games thanks to a update, so you will be able to get more out of the games that you currently have.

I'm happy with ps2,i would buy ps3 to play silent hill origins on it(i am vexed)
the price is too steep for me at the moment,
but i probably buy it when they start to sell 2nd hand ones or when the prices go down.
saying that, ps2 got lots of good games and i'm still finding plenty around to entertain myself.

I just can't see spending the $$ for a game system. It's probably worth it, but I am still happy with my PS2.

PS3 is amazing. People who dog it are usually jealous, broke, or ignorant.
I own PS3 and think that 360 is great. I just happen to prefer my PS3, I think its better.
