I would probably get a memory card for the side of the camera and get a card reader that plugs into your USB drive so then you really don't need to hook the camera up directly to your computer or scanner.

Most cameras work one of three ways.

The memory stick is inserted into a reader and the computer reads the files from the stick.

The camera is hooked directoy to the USB port and the computer reads the memory as a removable storage device.

The camera hooks to the computer and comes with software which will allow the user to access the camera and download software.

Check the paperwork which came with your NEW camera to make sure that it uses the same system as the old camera. They are well known for changing this from one year to the next.

placed money right into a USB Card Reader (obtainable at walmart, bestbuy, amazon etc...) for approximately $15 Plug the cardboard reader into your USB Port on your pc. eliminate reminiscence card out of your digicam, and insert into the cardboard reader. persist with instructions from the cardboard reader to open your reminiscence card. discover photographs and replica them on on your pc's perplexing force. this could eliminate any issues which you will have with plugging the digicam at as quickly as into your pc, and applying the digicam particular application.
