The reason food dries out is because of the air circulating around it....so when you leave the pizza in the oven for hours it changes it's texture.....If I were you as soon as you are finished with the pizza and have leftovers...wrap it in aluminum foil and refrigerate it.....then when you want to eat it again...preheat the oven and place it in the oven for about 15 minutes...all closed up..then open it and heat for about 10 more minutes or less depending on how thick it is......that way it is heated inside and toasty outside...if you heat the oven to 350 it will heat without burning....it might take you a couple times to get the timing right...good luck..also don't leave food out ..always wrap your food and put in refrig. to prevent food poisoning. especially in the hot summer....take care.

There are several reasons:
1. Delivery pizza is made with fresh ingredients and no preservatives.
2. You need to wrap it in plastic wrap and refrigerate it. It is going stale in your oven.
3. Heat it in aluminum foil in the oven rather than the microwave. The microwave is a major cause of hard pizza crust.

Keeping it in the oven will dry out the crust, of course.
The oven remains warm for a long time after use.
This warmth may not be good for any bacteria;
(let me re-phrase that) will be good for any bacteria.
They will flourish in that environment!
Bacteria will produce toxins as part of their waste.
While your body needs good bacteria, not all are!
You'd be better off putting it in the frig overnight.
Then be sure to bring it back to original temperature.
You might also put slices in zip-lock bags & seal them.
Because the frig will dehydrate the crust too.

You responded your individual question. Like actual transport drivers UPS. they might desire to handle the typical public not in basic terms like the united statesdrivers. 1000's each and every night, for little pay. And believe me whilst your pizza is late do you think of "nicely they are quite busy and that they might't cope with all the deliveries on time" no you blame the transport guy. NUFF mentioned!!!!!

There's NO rocket science involved here...-the OLDER a pizza gets, the MORE it dries out... And reheating just dries it out further (& the cheese gets "rubbery"; & the tomato sauce- mushy...). Need I say more..?

because you left it in the oven and it has dried out....try putting it in a plastic zip lock bag....and put it in the refrigerator.....then either reheat it in the oven or in a frying pan.....or eat it cold.....heating it in the microwave will make it soggy......

Because you allowed it to get old.
The microwave can fix this in about 45 seconds.
