He is about 8 months old and is about 75 to 80 lbs.

I had a male Akita. Now I have a female. I have known about them my whole life. Here's the Male Akita Info:

Weight: 90 to125 lbs.

Height: 5 to 6 feet

Fur: Soft and Straight

Litter: 4 to 7 puppies

Training weeks: 1 month

Life Span: 8 to 13 yrs.

Eating Habits: 3 to 4 cups one time a day

The following are rated 1(lowest) through 10 (Greatest)

Guarding: 10

Activity level: 7

Training: 9

Good with Kids:11!!!

Eating: 8(love it in the winter.....can't stand it in Summer)

He'd get to be about 26-28 in. and he'd weigh 85-100 lbs. He's just about full grown now so you wouldn't notice a big difference in size. Here's a link with more info about Akitas. Hope this was helpful.

What does your breed standard say? What did your breeder say when you bought the dog? How big were the parents when you went to buy the puppy?
