How do you know that? Are you assuming that?

Wow, did you take out time to check out all atheists before coming to that conclusion? Or do you base your idea of "most atheists" on the 5 atheists you know about at school?

My experience is that atheists are all kinds of people. We come from all walks of life and so do the emo/punk kids, religious people and probably whatever group you can think of. Generalizations are silly and untrue.

Rotflmao, atheists are emo!!! That is certainly going to get them angry, and no wonder (lol).

I don't know any emo atheist though, but i sure thought it is funny

As for the punk part well, i'm currently listening to holliday in Cambodja (great song)

my son is in middle school and most of the kids in his school are Christian, Hmong (I'm not sure what religion they practice) and Muslim. He personally doesn't know any atheists (yet).

Have you talked to every one in your school or are you judging them from their outside looks? Judging isn't good and definitely not Christ-like. And if an atheist wants to be punk or emo (is that the new word for it today?), so what? Every decade has it's types. As long as they aren't bullies and criminals, leaves them alone. Pray for them and/or try to be friends to them.

Well, at the moment I'm listening to classical music (Mozart's the Magic Flute), and wearing a pink shirt with pyjama pants. I'm an adult, obviously, but I'd be thrilled to know what category you'd try to put me in.

Generalizations are usually not very accurate.

Maybe most atheists in high school. Perhaps you haven't noticed, but high school makes up a very tiny and insignificant proportion of the world. Adult atheists are some of the sharpest thinkers and coolest people I know.

Learn to look beyond, my son.

What, did you survey every goth/emo in your school?
Even though your question is completely bigoted, I'll humor you. I think perhaps the people who dress conservatively actually care about what others think of them, such as God, their parents, friends, and whatnot. People who dress dark, and listen to dark music are non-conformists. They feel they don't have to impress anyone.

Okay, let's stereotype other religions next. Actually, the atheists I know aren't depressed, but are what known as "the smart kids".

It sounds like you are a teenager. All teenagers are a little eccentric, they are supposed to be. I am an atheist and I do not think "most" of them are like that

Sounds like your confusing irreligious with atheist. Not quite the same thing.
