This is one of God's laws:
Leviticus 18:19
'Also you shall not approach a woman to uncover her nakedness during her menstrual impurity .
Psalms 19:7
The law of the LORD is perfect, restoring the soul; The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple .
and
Psalms 119:160
The sum of Your word is truth, And every one of Your righteous ordinances is everlasting.
If we put this all together the Bible says that God's law is perfect and all his ordinances are FOREVER. If something is perfect it doesn't need adding to or taking away which is another command:
Deuteronomy 12:32
"Whatever I command you, you shall be careful to do ; you shall not add to nor take away from it.
The interesting thing is, I know MANY christians who say they believe the Bible and believe it is okay for a married couple to have sex on their period. I think it is messed up how those christians call people sexually immoral for commiting adultery when they are sexually immoral to.

Do you realize that you all who are saying 'its not a sin' is taking away a commandment of God and is a sin itself. You all are also saying that God's Law wasn't perfect to begin with so He had to "change it". How can the New Testament contradict the Old Testament? If it did it wouldn't be Scripture. When "Jesus" taught he said "Scripture cannot be broken". He was speaking about the "Old Testament" which by the way is a manmade term.

You all keep saying that "these laws were given to the Jews"...the fact is ALL the commandments were given to the Israelites and if you are a believer you are supposed to be 'grafted into Israel'. That is in the 'New Testament' in Romans. Not only that, but if the Bible says to walk as Jesus walked (1 John) and Jesus was a Jew that means he kept all the commandments and you should as well.
Its plain as day that christians love to treat the commandments like a 'buffet' picking out the ones they like and ignoring the others by saying they don't apply and then call themselves "bible believers".
Please read the following verse:
Proverbs 28:9
He who turns away his ear from listening to the law, Even his prayer is an abomination.

I'm not 1 for the bible thing, or Christian thing, or religion thing, so I'm just going to ignore that... But yeah I think it's immoral, because it show how little self control both the male and female have. I mean if the guy can't wait 'til the girl is through with her monthly cycle, then there's no way he could've waited 'til marriage. And I think people should wait 'til then.
Also, it's wrong for the female to let the male even touch her, because in the bedroom the female has all say. If she doesn't want to do something, then she doesn't have to do it and she shouldn't do it. 'Cause ya know what they say; "It takes 2 to tango"... And what they say its true....

To have sex outside of marriage is immoral. To have sex with a menstruating wife is only gross... ie physically repugnant.
Jesus fulfilled the law of Moses. This is a basic tenet of Christianity, and the reasons why most Christians don't trouble themselves to keep the law of Moses. It's not important to us.
There are some sects of Christianity who DO believe in obeying the law of Moses....
In Galatians 6:5 the Apostle Paul talks about how neither circumcision nor uncircumcision makes a difference for Christians. He was admonishing the early saints (Christians) not to argue with each other, or to feel that their uncircumcised Christian brethren were inferior.
The whole point of Christianity is love. To argue over points of law like this is to go against the spirit of love, which is the most important law in Christianity (as Jesus stated in Mark 12:30-31).
Added: CNJRTOM - Jesus taught the Sermon on the Mount, which reiterated the ten commandments and actually expanded upon them. He taught us how to live the spirit of God's law, rather than the letter of it. The spirit (or purpose) of the law is love... "brotherly kindness, charity."

That same part of the bible instructed the ISREALITES to not eat animals flesh that was not cloven hooved.
You see numbskull, God set these practices down to make the tribes of Isreal a nation apart from other men. This was binding until Christ's death on the Cross, wherin he fulfilled te old law and covenant and established the new. Your childish views on things beyond your years of experience would be best saved until after you have matured mentally and physically.
10 commandments; Christ and the apostole all upheld those basic moral principles. In fact, those commandments were epounded on and broadened by Christ as when he explained that adultery was not just the letter of the law but that a man seeing a woman and lusting after her has already adultered in his heart.

Go back and read Lev. 18, all of it. Lev is a difficult book to interpret, because sometimes Moses is talking to a few individuals, sometimes to priest, and sometimes to everyone. The commandments are different accordingly. For instance it also say that a man should not shave or cut his hair. Unless you pay attention to the whole passage you wouldn't know that Moses is only addressing the priest.
Often times, Leviticus, is misinterpreted by Christians. I'm not saying that you've misinterpreted it here, but to really understand it you need to go and read Hebrews which explains Leviticus.

If you don't like it, then don't do it! But don't judge others that choose differently. We can go through the bible and choose verses that fit with almost any situation we want them to.
Lighten up! Remember, the bible is a book written by MEN!
Of course they probably thought it was gross to have physical relations with their wife bleeding so tossed in a few "thou shall nots" to make it law.

The ten commandments were given to the Jews only. Christians did not exist when the commandments were given. Jesus replaced the ten with two. To love God with all your heart, soul and mind and to love your neighbor as yourself. The commandments were meant to be in forced until Jesus came. Then, Jesus was the end of the laws. Jesus made a new covenant with his Apostles and all who would follow no matter what nationality. It is a good thing that we are not under the commandments because death was the penalty for not observing the Sabbath.

There are different kinds of laws.
In Leviticus there were some laws for simple cleanliness, and some for morality.
This law was for cleanliness - if you'll look through most of Leviticus, it talks about what or what not to do in order to stay clean and not spread diseases.
The law you refer to is a law of cleanliness, not morality. With all our modern technology, we have fewer worries when it comes to disease.
So committing this act is not immoral. The law was never a moral one, so breaking it is not immoral.
Thus Christians who commit such an act are not immoral.

No. And although I study the Old Testament and learn from it, I follow the teachings of the New Testament. I don't believe Christians are bound by the laws that the Jews were to follow as set forth in the Old Testament.

that is all under the Law of Moses that has been fulfilled...THAT SAID...
IT ISN'T A SIN TO ME...but I give her that time ANYWAY...those are not her best days...why would I push her into having sex when she is not feeling even remotely interested????
"christians call people sexually immoral for commiting adultery "
you have to admit that cheating on your wife with another woman is QUITE different than sleeping with your wife while she is menstruating...I mean..it may not be comfortable..but at least it is your wife that you are "cleaving" to...
