First it's supposed to be grown without artificial chemicals.
That means no manufactured petro-chemical ingredients.
So-called natural fertilizers & pesticides are allowed.
Then you will notice a little paper cap on the stem.
That's supposed to say that they were not contaminated.
Such as by using a dirty knife which has cut other things.
All bananas we get are cut green & artificially ripened,
by locking them up in dark places with certain gases.
Just like almost all fruit & vegetables which are transported.
The end-result is that you 2 or 3 times more for them.
So eat it slowly & enjoy it more!

Anything organic is grown the same except there are no pesticides or any chemicals put on them. Regular foods have pesticides and chemicals on them while they are growing to help them along. That is the only difference.

Just means that the organic banana was not grown with the help of chemical fertilizers or with pestisides or herbisides. And it also means it will cost more.
