You are ablsolutely right they cant be suffering for ever or at all for that matter another bible verse Ecclesiastes 9:5 says the dead are conscious of nothing at all. (And the bible does not lie).
A person or dead one cant be in Hell forever because even in the King James version Rev. 20:13 shows that a person can & will come out of hell which proves that hell is only the common grave of mankind look at Jonah 2:2. its the place where he thought he was gonna die.his grave in the belly of the fish. what a person have to worry about is the Lake of fire which no one comes out or will be resurrected again this is the 2nd & final death. Sorry Mike M if a believer dies he's waiting to be resurrected not with Jesus yet (Acts 24:15)(John 5:28,29)

The New Testament equivalent of Sheol is Hades. Prior to Christ’s resurrection, Luke 16:19-31 shows Hades to be divided into two realms: a place of comfort where Lazarus was, and a place of torment where the rich man was. The word hell in verse 23 is NOT “Gehenna” (place of eternal torment) but “Hades” (place of the dead). Lazarus’s place of comfort is elsewhere called Paradise (Luke 23:43). Between these two districts of Hades is “a great gulf fixed” (Luke 16:26).
Jesus is described as having descended into Hades after His death (Acts 2:27, 31; cf. Ephesians 4:9). At the resurrection of Jesus Christ, it seems that the believers in Hades (i.e., the occupants of Paradise) were moved to another location. Now, Paradise is above rather than below (2 Corinthians 12:2-4).
Today, when a believer dies, he is “present with the Lord” (2 Corinthians 5:6-9). When an unbeliever dies, he follows the Old Testament unbelievers to Hades. At the final judgment, Hades will be emptied before the Great White Throne, where its occupants will be judged prior to entering the lake of fire (Revelation 20:13-15).
...He is a God of Wonders

u should teach BIBLE friend, because you do it well. I am a christian, and I think u r right about alot of this. GOD doesn't torment the evil sinners forever. their death is forever, and their regret is when they see what they missed and when they had the opportunity to accept it. The eternal damnation is just that, .. a person can be damned by someone or thing , by missing out on an opportunity that would have been better. hell is the grave, and as u also describe it. there is a place where all of sin will be destroyed and those who have embraced it. but those who remain will not have to see them burning forever and ever. we won't need to, and it would be a bad experience.

No, their spirits won't suffer in Hell or Hades or Sheol forever. They will suffer forever in the Lake of Fire after they are resurrected and judged.
Revelation 20:10 and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. 11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. 13 And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. 14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. 15 And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

I for one do not. Forever is not the same as eternal. Hell was prepared for the devil and his angels and not for man.
Without the gift of eternal life in Christ Jesus, which is imparted by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit; it is not possible for anyone to live eternally in heaven or hell.
Man never gained access to the tree of life in the Garden. That tree was Christ.
You have mentioned one hell, I have mentioned another. There is a third; but the nature of that place was changed when Jesus preached to the souls in prison.
There are other things to consider such as the fact that the superstitions of limbo and purgatory do not exist; but those who are ignorant of the grace of God will be ignorant still.

well as brought out the dead are conscience of nothing al all The lake of fire means "the 2nd death" from which there is no ressurection notice Death & Hell were thrown into the Lake of fire... now those are conditions, that will be done away with forever
Further consider that God who loved mankind so much that he sacrificed his own son to pay our ransom price would want to torture people
(Jeremiah 7:31) 31 And they have built the high places of To′pheth, which is in the valley of the son of Hin′nom, in order to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, a thing that I had not commanded and that had not come up into my heart. . .
he was discusted with people sacrificing other people, would he do the same?

one of the biggest mistakes people can make is to interpret the BIBLE according to their finite minds rather than comparing
SCRIPTURE with SCRIPTURE for TRUE
understanding.
you can't assume this trash dump means
that it is literally hell.
GOD gives many passages that give us
some idea of the horrible nature of hell.
you can't assume,either, that destroy
means unconsciousness or annihilation [or death means
the same].
that is your definition.
death and destruction are talking about
the second death[hell] which is being cast
away from GOD into outer darkness, where
"...the smoke of their torment ascends up
for ever and ever :and they have no rest day nor night..."
that is not a description of unconsciousness.
the only unconsciousness is after physical death -the unsaved go to a place of
silence,awaiting judgment.....but after that
all consciously exist either in HEAVEN or
hell.
