Lemon bars are always a nice treat! And easy to make...
INGREDIENTS
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
1 cup butter, softened

4 eggs
2 cups white sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 cup lemon juice

1 cup confectioners' sugar
2 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
First, the crust: In a medium bowl, stir together the flour and sugar. Cut in the butter until the mixture is mealy. Press in the bottom of a 9x13 inch pan. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes in the preheated oven, until crust is light golden brown.
While the crust is baking, prepare the filling. In the same medium bowl, beat the eggs, sugar, flour and baking powder with an electric mixer until light, about 3 minutes. Then stir in the lemon juice. Pour the filling over the crust while it is still warm from the oven. Bake for an additional 25 to 30 minutes until the top is slightly browned. Remove from the oven and cool.
In a small bowl, stir lemon juice into the confectioners' sugar 1 tablespoon at a time until the icing is of a spreadable consistency. Spread evenly over the cooled bars. Cut into squares.

Peanut Butter Brownies

Bake a regular batch of brownies. It needs to be a 9x13 pan size batch. Let them cool.
Pour 1 bag or Reese's peanut butter chips (in an orange package sold by the chocolate chips) and 1 can of sweetened milk in a pot. Melt the chips and milk, but you must be constantly stirring them or they will burn.
Once melted, pour on top of your brownies.
Drizzle two melted Hershey bars on it in straight lines going either way. Take a butter knife and "slice" down the opposite way of the chocolate so that it makes wave shapes.
Sprinkle with chopped pecans.
Let it all cool and cut into brownie size servings.
This goes well with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

This dessert is really rich and tastes really good! It's always a hit wherever I take it!

Cookies, brownies, single layer cakes, double layer cakes, cupcakes, banana bread, pies, or cobblers.

Personally, I love these!

SEVEN LAYER MAGIC COOKIE BARS

1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. graham cracker crumbs
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 pkg. (6 oz.) butterscotch chips
1 1/3 c. flaked coconut
1 c. chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees (325 degrees for glass dish). In a 13 x 9 inch baking pan melt butter in oven. Sprinkle crumbs over it. Mix together and press into pan. Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over crumbs. Top evenly with remaining ingredients. Press down firmly. Bake 25-30 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool before cutting.

I think a Red Velvet cake is a great idea - for one reason: The longer it sits, the better it gets!

And it's a little unusual - So Red Velvet Cake with a Cream Cheese Icing - either cupcakes or a double layer cake...

Rice Krispy treats are easy to make and easy to vary - adding ingredients like candies, or topping them with chocolate or icing...
