You need to talk to George Bush. Expunging and sealing are two different things. He has had both of them done with his criminal records. Both are rather difficult without having friends in high places. You can not do either without an attorney who should be able to give you information. An expunging is only done for ordinary citizens (unlike Bush) if you are innocent. The sealing can be done if a judge determines you have a valid reason for wanting to keep the information private.

If it was a capitol crime you may not be able to have it expunged, but after 7 or 10 years depending on where your standing and the offence they will all go through, all you have to do is get any judge to sign off on it!

It's usually political and you have to "know" someone. I know a woman that got a felony conviction for possession and sale of drugs expunged. A County Judge who knew the State Attorney General got it taken care of for her. Maybe if you know a Congressman they can help. Write to them and ask.

Expungement and sealed are 2 different things! If it is sealed, the desision still stands!

You can't get it totally off your record.

Law enforcement and federal databases will keep it,

but you can take it off your county clerk of courts records.

Run a background check on yourself a year after you think it is removed.

Any background check online over $99 will dig it up.

The 19.99 ones wont find it.
