"If you are so loving and powerful why did you let such horrible things happen to the people your son died for"? Since I can't ask him I'll ask all you Christians this question, and please don't give me your standard answer that I hear every time I ask someone this question, "God gave us free will"

Just as I suspected no one has a clear cut answer. No I won't read the bible the answer is not in there... You see what you want to see! You bet I'm ANGRY.. all of you bible thumpers should be too whaere is your "Loving God" when a baby is beat to death or when a news journalman is beheaded for all to see! How about the old lady that is raped and beaten to death I mean I could go on and on. If you all would put so much thought and concern into the "real" world maybe more of us could get sh-- done around here! You just keep looking through your rose colored glasses at your perfect god loving world while the rest of us chumps try to fix "GODS" mistakes. As for the free will, hey thats what I've been told by you all, I'm only quoting you guys.... There ain't nobody "up" there gonna help our sorry asses..

Why are you going to kill so many people? or Why couldn't you give even 1 rock solid proof that you even exist for so many 1000's of years?

Try actually reading the Bible from cover to cover. Since it's God's Word then who else's word do you need? Just don't read bits and pieces of it out of context. The topic of suffering and why it happens is covered from just about every angle if you would actually commit to make the effort to read it for yourself. All of it. You can even buy it on tape or CD. Just get the New International Version, it's much easier to understand than the old English of the King James Version. Why take someone else's word for it when you can take His?

First of all you have to start with faith. But you've already said you lack faith. In lacking faith even if you got the answer would you believe?

Free will is associated with LOVE . .. but that aside . .. the answer is LOVE . .. the mystery of suffering is what you are asking an answer for . .. but the only answer is that GOD will wipe away all tears. ..

and of course you are made in the image of GOD you are expected to do teh work of GOD on Earth caring for those who suffer as you would want for yourself, we are our brother's keepers. And they are made in the image of GOD so when you care for them you are doing so for JESUS CHRIST.

So instead of asking why isn't GOD doing something, do something about it . .. Because as you do you want done for you . ..

We do recognize GOD is more powerful than we are, but that's beside the point, GOD wants obedience, and this is your measure of LOVE for GOD that you do HIS will.

The relationship between free will and LOVE should be clear here, that you have the choice to do for them as you want done for you. In that sense you are on trial now before the final judgement . .. for wha tyou do now will be the sin you need to repent at the final judgement, and TRUE repentance of heart means changing your ways . ..

That doesn't answer the entire mystyery of suffering but hope it helps some ...

The real irony is that people need to be told when so many have set example like the Saints who have lived in poverty caring for the poor. and most especially like JESUS who did good works only performing miracles of healing and forgivness and then they crucified HIM . .. should be a lesson in that as to the mystery of suffering.

-LOVE your neighbor as yourself.
Amen

Your name is fitting!! I think bad things happen in this world because the Lord has not returned yet. This world still has Satin in it. This world is not perfect. That is why God sent his one and only perfect son for us. He Died and was Berried and then Rose again. He is currently seated at the right hand of the father. Waiting for the day he returns to us.

I understand that you don't believe in which is fine. But, if you want straights answers you should ask him.You can pray to him and ask him.Even,if it feels like you're praying to nobody, then asking this question may seems like asking a question about nothing. He's not going to answer you right when you answer. But,he might in a dream or something. If you're so curious, you should ask him yourself.Just a simple suggestion.

I really feel bad for you. Why are you so angry? There is a God who loves you very much. You need to have faith.
I believe everything happens for a reason. Some day we will understand.

PLEASE CLARIFY WHERE IN THE BIBLE DOES GOD SAY HE GAVE US FREE WILL? READ THE BIBLE BEFORE YOU TRY TO QUESTION THOSE WHO DO.
1 COR. 1/18.1/25,JOHN15/16,ACTS9/15, ESPHESIANS
CHAPTER ONE VERSE 4. IF THAT IS NOT EVIDENCE
READ THE WHOLE NEW TESTAMENT. THEN ASK ALL THE RELIGIOUS QUESTION YOU WANT TO I ENJOY
QUESTIONS FROM PEOPLE WHO KNOW OF WHAT THEY SPEAK. I WOULDN'T TRY TO ARGUE LAW WITH A LAWYER UNLESS I REALLY READ A LOT OF BOOK
ABOUT LAW AND KNEW WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT.

If you don't really believe there is a God, then why are you going out of your way to write about him on Yahoo! Answers?

Don't pass judgment on other people's faith. It may make you feel righteous, but all it does is validate your ignorance and prejudices.

so if someone pushes someone in front of a car...your going to blame it on God? and you can ask God..you just chose not too. I'm not going to blame God for man's mistakes.

Without suffering you would never know peace. we should all see the gift that was given first and how we were able to have it for part of our lives and instead of hating that it was taken away, we should be grateful that we had it long enough to love it, and have it in our lives as a present.

Matthew 10:22
And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
