why do we all have such different personalities and beliefs? I believe in God and love him with all I have, but I am still confused as to why, we all were given different lives, chances and some didnt get the opportunities as others. He says he is a fair and just God, yet I dont really see fairness in much of anything. if he was fair and Just we would all have the same.

The image we where created in, and can manifest as true Christians is found in Galatians.

Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
Gal 5:23 meekness, self-control; against such there is no law.

Because we are all given free will. To think for ourselves and make choices for ourselves. Granted, some of the choices we make will put us in situations that are quite undesirable, IE; a lack of education will cause many to live in poverty;; so will the use of drugs and alcohol...all because of choices.

True, we are all created in God's image and we do have different personalities that are shaped by genetics and the environment that we were brought up in. God does not put us there and then throw away the key.....we again have to choose wisely. Others have a more relaxed life than some, but God did not single them out to live better than others, they just happened to be born into that environment.

But we are not to despair, because Jehovah is a just God and He promises many times over in His word the Bible, that He is going to rectify the situation and that all will be treated equally.
At 2Peter 3:13 He promises a new earth, where righteous is to dwell.
At Psalm 37:10-11 He promises that the wicked will be removed from the earth and that only the meek ones, those who are teachable will be allowed to possess the earth, and it goes on to say that these ones will find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.

God is NOT to blame for the disparities in the world, but He can and will fix them at a future time.

you are right, life is not fair- however, God never promised us it would be. God did create us to have this perfect relationship with Him, but we chose to sin. God is just- but things aren't always what we would consider fair- I don't understand why those who seem to live the most devoted lives to the Lord can struggle in life, more than unbelievers who completely ignore Him- however one day there will be justice seen. God holds everyone accountable- we have a choice today to either experience the love of God through Christ or not. He died so that we may live- God never promised us an easy life. He promised us a life that is abundant and full of joy- even if things do not go the way we wish they would. Just think if all of the people in this world were exactly alike- wouldn't that be boring? I certainly would not want "clones" of me walking around. In the end God will make all things right.

Cindy: Google the word "theodicy" and see what you get.

For about a buh-zillion years now, popes and priests and bible scholars and philosophers have been puzzling over this contradiction:

If God is all-powerful (he can do anything), and all-loving, then why is there evil/pain/suffering/unfairness in the world?

Nobody has come up with a good answer yet.

I guess that's where faith comes in. We don't understand a lot of stuff right now, but if we want to follow The Lord, we have to decide to believe and trust that God is who he says he is.

For the same reason our bodies have more than one type of cell
Just like our bodies have many cells to reflect ones full Glory, So is the colorfulness of the personalities in earth. Ultimately To reflectively express the full Glory of The Image of God.

God made us in his image, not an equal world. Like God, we can reason, we can determine right from wrong, and we can choose to create or destroy. I also believe that God does not interfere with our lives. If you want to see God, look into a newborn's eyes, watch the mother who has two jobs and still spends time with her kids. We can't wait for God to do something, we have to do it! You wanna see a miracle, Be the miracle! (Last line comes from Bruce Almighty.)

Image is not the insides

Outside we are all the same

You have girl parts that are the same in all human girls

I have guy parts that are all the same in human guys

That is where the difference ends

Do you think he DESIGNED EVE to eat the apple!

That was choice

You have CHOICES

YOUR choices are different than mine

Now talk to me when you find a girl with 3 or 4 breasts and a man with two wangs.

Until then, WE ARE in God's image.

Maybe he sends us all here to grow and gives us life challenges to overcome based on our needs. Some people achieve growth and some don't.

Maybe the "have nots" are very special people sent to see how the "haves" will grow by choosing to help them or choose not to grow by passing them by?

Think about this...some of the most miserable people in the world are rich...but they might not be miserable if they helped their fellow man....growing themselves and helping others grow at the same time.

Seems like that would be a perfect plan.

Fair? Where in the Bible does it say that God is fair? Yes, he is just, but that is not a synonym of fair. Just means he punishes those who do not accept him and reward those that do.

Fairness is a human concept. If God was fair, everyone would be destined to Hell, because none of us are worthy to be in his presence. It was not "fair" for him to have to die on a cross in order to save us. He is simply being merciful when he saves Christians and not others...generous. If God was fair, he wouldn't save anyone.

Hope that puts things into perspective.

God bless!

Hate to say it, but you'll one.) Probably get a lot of religious zealots saying something about Adam, Eve, and maybe something about Cain and the Great Flood perhaps, and two.) It's a religion, it's not explaining everything, you DO have a point and I'm rather shocked that a Christian could possibly speak out against what they believe, I thought that was a hell-worthy sin nowadays...but still, we have different lives because of the people before us, our ancestors, if Abramham Lincoln didn't free the slaves then we'd still have them, if my mom and dad didn't decide to get it on I'd never be here (which some people would probably be happy about...) or anything like that, so we have different lives and everything like that because we're unique, and of our ancestors decisions...hope that helped ya out.
