Someone to Watch Over Me, it is a song from the Crooner age written around the 1920's your Grandfather will know it I'm sure. It also will not over tax either one's dancing skill level as it has a lovely flow to it. I'm not sure as to whether Michael Buble has recorded it or not. You may need to look it up, possible there is a digitally remastered copy of the original and you could do a mix for the dance. Eg Original leading into most recent recording artist.
Reason I say this song is that your Grandparents were there to 'watch over you' when your parents died. And now he is entrusting you to your husband to 'watch over you'.

RE:
Father daughter dance, song but for grandpa-granddaughter.?
My parents died many years ago, So instead of my dad walking me down the isle, it will be my grandpa. I would also like to do the father-daughter dance, but with my grandpa. I am having a hard time finding a good song that would fit. Any suggestions?

Grandpa, Tell Me About The Good Old Days-The Judds
Love Can Build A Bridge-The Judds
Love can build a bridge
'Tween your heart and mine
Love can build a bridge
Don't you think it's time
Don't you think it's time
I would gladly walk across the desert
With no shoes upon my feet
To share with you the last piece of bread I had to eat
(That is all I know)
Butterfly kisses-Bob Carlisle
The Dance-Garth Brooks
The Rose-Bette Midler
Unforgettable-Nat King Cole/Natalie Cole
Wind beneath my wings-Bette Midler
My Girl-The Temptations
Because you loved me-Celine Dion
Everything I do, I do it for you-Bryan Adams

I would have to say Butterfly kisses! It is a very pretty song for a father-daughter dance or even for grandfather-granddaughter dance.

This is the grandpa song by the judds. If it fits your grandfather then cool. I was thinking of "He didn't have to be." Or maybe since your parents have passed, you could also play "Holes in the floor of heaven" by steve wariner.
Grandpa, tell me 'bout the good ole days.
Sometimes it feels like
This world's gone crazy.
Grandpa, take me back to yesterday,
Where the line between right and wrong
Didn't seem so hazy.
Did lovers really fall in love to stay?
Stand beside each other come what may?
Was a promise really something people kept,
Not just something they would say?
Did families really bow their heads to pray?
Did daddies really never go away?
Whoa oh Grandpa,
Tell me 'bout the good ole days.
musical interlude
Here is Holes in the floor of heaven:
One day shy of eight years old
when Grandma passed away
I was a broken hearted little boy
blowing out that birthday cake
how I cried when the sky let go
with a cold and lonesome rain
Mamma smiled said don’t be sad child
Grandmas watching you today
Chorus:
Cause there’s holes in the floor of heaven
and her tears are pouring down
that’s how you know she’s watching
wishing she could be here now
and sometimes if your lonely
just remember she can see
there’s holes in the floor of heaven and she’s
watching over you and me
Seasons come and seasons go
nothing stays the same
I grew up fell in love
met a girl who took my name
year by year we made a life in this sleepy little town
I thought we’d grow old together
Lord, I sure do miss her now
Chorus:
But there’s holes in the floor of heaven
and her tears are pouring down
that’s how I know she’s watching
wishing she could be here now
and sometimes when I’m lonely
I remember she can see
there’s holes in the floor of heaven and she’s
watching over you and me
Well my little girl is 23 I walk her down the aisle
it’s a shame her Mom can’t be here now
to see her lovely smile
they throw the rice I catch her eye
as the rain starts coming down
she takes my hand says daddy don’t be sad
cause I know Mamma’s watching now
Chorus:
and there’s holes in the floor of heaven
and her tears are pouring down
that’s how you know she’s watching
wishing she could be here now
and sometimes when you’re lonely
just remember she can see
there’s holes in the floor of heaven and she’s
watching over you and me.
Hope this helps. Sorry its so long.

Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong. Ask grampa, I will guarantee that he'll know the song, like it, and would be more then happy to dance with you to this song.
