The way I see it comes down to this. Either Bush is a criminal, lying, retard who's hands will forever be stained with the blood of all the soldiers killed and wounded. Or, he is 100% correct, a visionary who can clearly see what the majority of the American people, and the world for that matter can not see. You decide.

It's been a waste of life from the beginning. We are good at beating a clearly defined enemy who is attacking us, but our soldiers are not trained to basically make a democracy from scratch, without the cooperation of all the people concerned. Is anybody qualified to do that?

We are currently trying to impose a government on people who don't want what we are offering. A lot of Shiites and Kurds were happy to see Hussein go, but the other half of the country, and most of the countries surrounding Iraq, are not Shiites or Kurds. We took them out of power. So they're of course going to fight.

If someone came to our country to impose a government, say, for example, favoring the Northern States over the Southern States, I don't think most people in the South would see this as a positive thing.

Additionally, groups like Al-Qaeda and others are overjoyed at having so many Americans close by where they can kill them. We must have saved them millions of dollars in airfare.

So no, I can't see this is going to go anywhere good for any of the parties concerned, including the Iraqis. A civil war seems inevitable, and in my opinion, this was obvious from the very beginning. I wrote a letter to my Congressman about this before the war ever started.

After a lost cause.

There is no evidence that keeping troops there will change anything, and the longer our troops are there, the worse things get, so there's plenty of evidence to the contrary.

Bush is simple either delusional, or acting purely on faith.
Both of which are bad for a chief executive.

Bush is just like all the 9/11 conspiracy theorists. He believes there will be some sort of victory in Iraq...when clearly there can never be any such thing.

And it won't take jet fuel to make that nation implode.

You have to ask yourself who benefits when the war was started. You know that the US is spending Billions every month to fight the war. It losing equipment, ammunition, ordinance (bombs), fuel for ships, planes and and all the other vehicles. It has to feed all those soldiers over there. If you find out where that money is going you will find out what Mr.Bush is really doing. I could tell you but you wouldn't believe me. Research it yourself then you'll see it. Remember every bullet, bomb, truck and helicopter has to be replaced.

Time will tell, but it doesn't look likely that it'll prove him right.
