Than he says it is conditional on buying Gap insurance at $599. I love the financing and would love the rebate but I don't want Gap insurance at that price. He states he will check with his District Manager to verify the condition on rebate. Any advice?

The extra $500 is called captive cash... you only receive it if you finance through Nissan Motors... the gap information is incorrect and it is only to profit the finance manager dealing with you which is complete BS. He is just trying to earn an extra few bucks... Ive sold many Nissan's now through Nissan that have not purchased GAP and they receive captive cash just like any other. The ONLY contingency is you must finance through NISSAN.

Watch out CAR SHARKS! Your trade-in was worth? and now they want to put you into two loans? and have to purchase additional GAP insurance too. I love Nissan and work there but sounds like the money was not right going in to make up the salesman commission so they are about to do to you what I don't want them to do. Run very fast away!
Your reply is take my car in trade and do not add to my new car loan one cent. Only one interest rate for the nest 6 years. No GAP and here is what I am willing to pay Monthly . Your forthrightness will pay dividends.

Sounds high. Type in the words
"gap insurance" in your favorite
search engine and you'll find
advertisers offering gap insurance.

You should report him to Nissan and then go to another dealership. I would tell him to his face that he's a liar and thats why you're not going to buy a car from him. Tell the salesperson too.

i agree with kacrap you dont need to get anything from the finance mgr, but if you traded a car in and have negative carry over to the new loan get the Guarantee Auto Protection.
