How cna i tell if i am ready to date again? its been 2 months now since i have been raped.I feel numb within my heart but i had a friend work with me,she has worked with many other women upon thsi situation but i no longer cna work with her because she lives in another state with my other friend. and when she worked with me i felt better then before.but yet.. its 50/50 how i feel to be ready to get back up on my feet again. I wanna know when will i be able to get back up in dating, like how long it would be until i fully heal.? Anyone who has been in this sitaution would help very much. Thats the kind of people i could talk to about now.Thanks

You have to feel it within yourself, if you are still unsure, worried or even afraid to get back into socializing with men, you are not ready. Healing takes time but you'll get there. You could try taking it in steps, firstly building friendships and when you are feeling more confident and safe around men again then start dating.

i can defenetly help you out with this because i was raped at 14...it depends how you handle it, if the thought of dateing makes you feel uncomfertable then dont do it! you'll just want out of the relationship as fast as possible. If the thought of dateing feels good then go for it (but choose a nice guy that wont push you to do anything) also a guy that will understand what your going through. you need to think that the guy that did it is a disgusting pervert and most guys arent like that, its a really hard thing to get over..i know. But it will come one day if it hasn't already...i really hope this helped :)

i think that you are ready to date if you feel that you are..
but becareful who you date... date decent guys, the kind who are more into who YOU are not how you look, and what they can get from you...
