My advice to you is to never live under the same roof as this little wannabe-Hitler. And unless your fiance is fully prepared to stand by your side, I'd re-think marrying into that family altogether. If your fiance has no spine, you'll be bullied by his father for many years to come.

You need to try to "befriend" the father in-law and not be so much afraid of him. When you see him working on something ask if he needs some help. If you pay a little more attention to him (like friends do) he might think he has a new little "buddy" rather than a ? which is what he probably is thinking now. You can do it!

Future father-in-law and you live in his house? I mean you're not married yet to his son, so why are you living in his house?

Anyway, what should you do? For a start think of him as not your future father-in-law but a grouchy old man who happens to own the house you're living in.

Well if you're gonna be living with the man then I can suggest nothing more than for you to respect the man's wishes because it is his house and you're not staying there against your will. You can up and leave whenever.
But if you dont live with him and he acts like this when you come around....try avoiding him.Simple as that.

If he is paying the bills and you are living in his house, then he does have a point.

If you are not happy with his attitude, then move out!

Are you going to be living with him.??? If so it's your choice, I certainly wouldn't want to be beholding to him. And chances are his son learned from him.
