The bottom of the foot is common testing grounds, LOL....it never lasts there - I know lots of artists that test out colors, needle groupings, etc. when they are new because it won't stay there.
A professional artist will tell you that you are wasting your money if you choose a tattoo there. We don't do them in my studio.

Yes you can get the tattoo there. It will probably hurt because the skin is like leather. The only problem I could see with this is that much like the palms of your hands, the ink will not stay. You shed skin and rub the skin free pretty fast on your hands and feet soles. I doubt you could keep a good tattoo there for long. My local tattoo artist even says that the palmar tattoos are not gauranteed for more than 60 days.
Whats the point if you won't get to keep your ink? Put it on the top instead.

Most tattoo artists wont do it, but it is possible. The reason most wont jdo it is because the skin on the bottom of your foot is rough and freguently gets damaged so the quality of the tattoo would be comprimised even faster than tattoos anywhere else on your body. After just a year or two it would be a big blob of color that looks more like a birth defect than something you paid to have done to yourself. So do yourself a favor and if you really want one on your foot get it on hte side or top, just not the bottom.

I sure couldn't... way too ticklish. But then again, I had a friend whose grandmother embroidered a flower on the bottom of her foot, so I'd guess she could have sat still for a tattoo there...
I used to read a lot of true crime and got an irrational fear of dying and ending up a Jane Doe so it crossed my mind for awhile to tattoo my name or social security number on the bottom of my feet just so that would never happen... weird, I know...

yes you can get a tattoo under your foot...you can get one anywhere (even on your lips) it will be extremely pain full just to warn you. that is a very tender area and if your ticklish it will be even worse.

Yea you can... but it will hurt like hell... your foot is pretty sensitive... and getting one on top of your foot hurts... I can only imagine the bottom

It would hurt alot to get and even more to heal. But why would you get it there?
