Grace = basis
Faith = means
Works = evidence
Works ~ Fruit ~ Love

Of course, it is not definitive PROOF, for Satan himself masquearades as an angel of light...imitating works, fruit, and love....
And one must believe in their heart that God raised Christ from the dead...yet no one but God knows the heart of man.
But...love is evidence...even as Jesus said that this is how you can tell who are [my] disciples...if they LOVE one another.
And the fruit of the Spirit is love, etc.

Makes more sense to me than faith alone (James 2:14-26). After all, I can kill 400 people and still go to heaven because I believe in Jesus, right my fundementalist friends?
