No, it's not normal.

She's not talking about trichotylomania, obsessively pulling out her hair. Macryphilia is not a mood disorder.

It's a male fantasy of a giant woman (remember the Attack of the 50-foot Woman?)

Do you fantasize about giant men?

In terms of stopping, see a professional. I have no idea if there is a course of treatment, or even if it's considered a disorder. But if it bothers you, having someone to talk about it with may at least help ease your mind.

I don't think it's a bad thing. Many people have fetishes; you just like what you like. I'm a guy with a foot fetish and am into macrophilia as well. Usually, girls are fine with the foot fetish, but I always take it slow with telling them about being into macrophilia. I've never had any girl be shocked by it and some involved it in foreplay. So, my advice is to accept yourself for who you are. You're not going to change, and you're not weird. Everyone has their kinks; it makes us individuals. I wouldn't tell everyone about it since some people are judgmental and don't understand how anyone can be different from them. But, there are a good pit of people out there that won't judge you for it and some that might be into it too.

I have no idea, I'm afraid (well I'm not really). I do remember that about 37 years ago when I was 13, I had this terrible fear that all my hair was falling out and I also remember this compulsion ( may have been OCD) to keep pulling at my hair to see how many hairs I pulled out and also to keep looking at my profile in the mirror, bus windows and everywhere available. It was ok in those respects, for many years, and I became a qualified lawyer. But then I plunged into the depths of extreme clinical depression, was offered ECT, flat-lined after an OD (not a cry for help but a genuine wish to "leave the place I was in"). Sorry, I can't go on at the moment, but I earn over £100k, have a lovely wife and house etc (against all odds) and am ok. My fear is that the fourth cycle will come round at some point. Please be careful.

Macrophilia refers to sexual fantasy involving fictitious giants. Macrophilia has two main forms: the shrinking of self and the enlargement of others.

I looked up the word in merriam-webster.com and can't find it. I don't know what the problem is, but I do know it's common for teenagers to jump to conclusions. Talk to your parents. If they aren't the cool kind of parents, talk to the counselor at school.
